The Palmer House Inn has an excellent spot right near the downtown area. It's also very close to the Martha's Vineyard Ferry (which has a satellite parking lot with service to Woods Hole just around the corner). There's plenty to do in Falmouth Center to keep you occupied for a full weekend, or you can take a ferry ride over to Martha's Vineyard for the day if you'd like to see the sights.

Mashpee is one of the most unassuming towns on Cape Cod. It might have the busy Mashpee Commons shopping area, but it doesn't have that many places to stay. That's because it's a mostly residential town, and has infrequent highway access. Where there's a lack of highways though, there's usually some great sights to be seen. Mashpee is the perfect place to unwind if you're looking to avoid the crowds, but be close enough to towns like Hyannis and Falmouth should you want to get out and enjoy a more vibrant Cape experience. Mashpee also has a stretch of scenic coastline with beautiful salt ponds, inlets, and harbors near Route 28.

Provincetown, MA might have the most to do out of any town on the entire Cape. Sure, it's the furthest away from the bridges, but the scenery is amazing. The restaurants are amongst the best on Cape Cod. The beaches are more scenic than those on Nantucket Sound. The art galleries are in bigger numbers (and have some of the best artwork). There's also fun things to do in town like whale watches, bike riding along the paved bike paths, and even a mile long jetty that leads to two historic lighthouses.
