Not only is Chatham one of the entire Cape's nicest towns, but its also a great place to vacation, too. Just because this town has some of the biggest and fanciest homes doesn't mean that it's completely inaccessible. In fact, the town has some excellent B & B's with outstanding water views. Some are also just a hop away from the downtown area, while others are set back on quiet retreats. There might be more great bed and breakfasts in Dennis, but they don't have any reviews as of yet. The Isaiah Hall B & B has earned itself stellar reviews from people who have stayed here. Falmouth Bed and Breakfasts

The best reviewed B & B's in Falmouth, MA

Falmouth is one of Cape Cod's most popular places to stay. It's also one of the busiest, with up and coming businesses, restaurants, and art galleries all over town. Falmouth has the advantage also of being very close to Martha's Vineyard and to the Bourne Bridge to the north. The town's accessibility and shoreside beauty make it the perfect place to stay any time of year.

Here are some of Falmouth's best reviewed bed and breakfasts, all with outstanding reviews from people who have actually stayed there. Click through a photo or one of the links to read reviews, pricing details, to see rooms, or to make reservations.

Palmer House Inn - Falmouth, MA
81 Palmer Ave
Falmouth, MA 02540-285

The Palmer House Inn has an excellent spot right near the downtown area. It's also very close to the Martha's Vineyard Ferry (which has a satellite parking lot with service to Woods Hole just around the corner). There's plenty to do in Falmouth Center to keep you occupied for a full weekend, or you can take a ferry ride over to Martha's Vineyard for the day if you'd like to see the sights.

Mashpee Bed and Breakfasts

Alexander Hamilton House, Mashpee MA

Mashpee is one of the most unassuming towns on Cape Cod. It might have the busy Mashpee Commons shopping area, but it doesn't have that many places to stay. That's because it's a mostly residential town, and has infrequent highway access. Where there's a lack of highways though, there's usually some great sights to be seen. Mashpee is the perfect place to unwind if you're looking to avoid the crowds, but be close enough to towns like Hyannis and Falmouth should you want to get out and enjoy a more vibrant Cape experience. Mashpee also has a stretch of scenic coastline with beautiful salt ponds, inlets, and harbors near Route 28.

The Alexander Hamilton House is a beautifully quiet, tucked away B & B in Mashpee. The rooms are immaculate, the living space is ornately decorated, and the breakfast is superb. Read more of the reviews on the Alexander Hamilton House page (click the link above).

Provincetown Bed and Breakfasts

The best reviewed B & B's in Provincetown, MA

Provincetown, MA might have the most to do out of any town on the entire Cape. Sure, it's the furthest away from the bridges, but the scenery is amazing. The restaurants are amongst the best on Cape Cod. The beaches are more scenic than those on Nantucket Sound. The art galleries are in bigger numbers (and have some of the best artwork). There's also fun things to do in town like whale watches, bike riding along the paved bike paths, and even a mile long jetty that leads to two historic lighthouses.

Included here are some of Provincetown's best reviewed bed and breakfasts. All of these places to stay have outstanding reviews from people who have stayed there, and are just minutes from the downtown area (or are directly in downtown).

Sandwich Bed and Breakfasts

Cranberry Manor Bed and Breakfast

Cranberry Manor Bed and Breakfast - Sandwich, MA

The town of Sandwich has some of the best, classic Cape Cod scenery. It is the oldest town on Cape Cod, and also one of the most beautiful. It also isn't far from the Sagamore Bridge, so you won't have to fight as much traffic. A little known secret about Sandwich is that is really is one of the most quiet towns on the entire Cape, and has absolutely stunning beaches along the Bay side. The Cranberry Manor is the perfect place to stay, and it really suits the style of the town with its primitive, rustic, Massachusetts look.

Love your lens! A visit to Falmouth is not complete without a day in Woods Hole. There are fishing boats to look at, cute shops, a FREE aquarium and an exhibit about the exploration of the "Titanic" via remote submersible. Because of the ferry traffic in and out, there are 10 great restaurants and bars, most of them right ON the water.
If you want to stay right in Woods Hole, try the vintage restored Woods Hole Inn.
