I'm originally from Rhode Island, born and raised, and lived in New England for much of my adult life, but I've only been to Cape Cod once. I'll be back to visit the northeast next year, and it's definitely on my itinerary.

DK Eyewitness makes my all time favorite line of travel books, and this one is no exception. Perfect for travel, it's not too big or small, has a durable cover, and has plenty of photos and maps that are easy to flip to on the go. The cross sections of museums, streets, and regions is helpful, along with their recommendations on the best museums and sightseeing opportunities.
