How to Create a Month of Outfits with a 13-Piece Capsule Wardrobe

I found a great article about how sometimes the recommended wardrobe "must-haves" are simply not realistic (so true!). Instead, she provides her own list and those recommendations make much more sense.

Must-Haves for Your Winter Capsule Wardrobe...

From that article, here are my takes on the three wardrobe suggestions I liked best...

(1) Make it possible to start your outfits with a column of color. So, include a few combinations of top and bottom in exactly the same color and make sure it's a color that fits within your seasonal color palette.

(2) Add a sweater in a matching, neutral color from your seasonal color palette for each column of color. I would suggest one matching color for a cardigan and one pullover to switch out and wear with the bottoms.

(3) Find an accessory, such as a matching scarf or a statement piece, to add an accent to your outfits.
