The Captains of Crush Grippers are a highly popular range of hand grippers. There are 10 of these grippers, each with its own level of resistance, from 60 lbs (the lowest level), all the way to 345 lbs!, though I doubt most people will be able to work with anything above the 3 lower levels.

Are Captains Of Crush High Quality?
In the past, most grippers were either made poorly, lacked resistance, tended to break, and basically were useless for serious athletes. However, the Captains of Crush grippers are the real deal. Made of durable material, providing enough grip area (I recommend wearing gloves to improve your grip), and packing one helluva punch resistance wise, these grippers are truly challenging.
As I said, these grippers come in a range of resistance levels. Do NOT be tempted to buy the whole set at once. Most likely, you will not be able to effectively use the harder ones. They are really challenging.
You may be thinking: But isn't this what I'm looking for, a challenge?
I agree, if you want to build grip strength and bigger forearm muscles, you need resistance. However, I do want you to be able to use the grippers effectively. There's no point in using a set that you can't even close once. Yes, the top resistance grippers are that hard.

2. Do targeted forearm exercises such as the Reverse Wrist Curl
3. Do grip strengthening exercises.
The 3rd thing you need to do requires a hand gripper. The Captains of Crush are top of the line in that field.
So, the answer is Yes, the Captains of Crush are effective. However, don't use them and do nothing else. You need to use them as part of a total workout routine.
