A good car audio systems rely on few source such as cd player with dvd/nav system radio, ipod connection, mp3, good speaker, sub woofer, amplifier either integrated or pre/power amp, good cable and interconnect. This almost the whole thing you need to setup and audio system in your car.

For receiver I recommend few name like Eclipse, Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood Excelon, Nakamichi mostly choices by customer. It comes to speakers brand Polk Audio, Infinity, Eclipse, Pioneer Rev High end: Focal, Boston, MB Quart, Nakamichi.

Looking for Subs woofer to boost your audio systems here the popular name JL Audio, MTX, Kicker, Eclipse, Audiobahn, Memphis, Hifonics, Diamond Audio, Fosgate. Amplifier include Precision Power, Crossfire, Cadence, Soundstream.

Find good cabling wiring such as Monster, Tsunami, Streetwires, even Kicker and Fosgate make decent parts/wiring. All of this will totally change your car audio sound systems which bring you high end sound but you have to take consideration on other parts like sound proofing that cut noise from outside that coming inside your car. Class D Amplifier

For subwoofer applications, Class D amps are beautifully efficient and their small size offers installation flexibility. Before amplifying an incoming signal, a Class D amp converts the signal to digital. Digital signals can be amplified very efficiently, so you get a lot more power with less current. Less input current reduces power supply size and generates less waste heat, thus reducing the heat sink size. The amp then converts the amplified signal back to analog.

This system material polymer/mica composite mineral filled cone that is stiff yet lightweight, bringing you big sound with little distortion. Dome tweeter 25mm liquid-cooled silk-polymer with neodymium magnet creates clear, detailed highs. Polk Audio SUB WOOFER

Pair with Polk Audio db840 8-inch single voice coil subwoofer speaker. Great for sealed, ported, or band pass enclosures, the db840 offers high-power handling with low distortion; tight, stomach-shaking bass; and the long-term reliability for which Polk is known.

The Polk Audio db840's polypropylene cone is supported by a vented cone/coil coupler, which stiffens the cone for more stability and lower distortion. The Santoprene surround is impervious to extremes in temperature, humidity, and exposure to sunlight, which means more reliability regardless of the application.

A fire-retardant flat NOMEX Spider allows extended linear motion while providing highly reliable mechanical and thermal stability. And triple venting of the 4-layer Kapton Voice Coil Former, Cone/Coil Coupler, and Pole Piece contribute to the high-power handling and overall reliability of the db Series subs.

Finally, as with all Polk Audio subwoofers, the db840's voice coil alignment, motor, and suspension are optimized using a state-of-the-art Klippel laser analyzer. The result is superior cone travel linearity for flatter response and lower distortion.
