Ranked #7,625 in Cars, #412,182 overall
Why I made this page
I got this Squidoo to share my experience with auto insurance providers and how I managed to get a great deal. I know how stressful it is to look for car insurance as a young driver and I decided I want to help teenagers and people under 25 who are might be looking for a cheap car insurance.

Cheap Car Insurance for Young Drivers
How I decreased my annual car insurance premium by $1700
It is not secret for most people, that car insurance companies make millions, if not billions, of dollars every year by charging young drivers extremely high rates. Car insurance name inexperience and recklessness of younger drivers as their excuse for charging us arm and leg. While there is a small number of young drivers, who tend to drive recklessly, speed and do other silly things on the road, most of us are safe drivers. This is why I do not see why all of young people have to pay so much, just because a few ignorant street-racers create trouble on the roads. I would like to share with you my personal experience with insurance companies and how I managed to greatly reduce my insurance costs.
Who am I?
I am 20 years old male and I just got my own car 2 month ago. I bought a used 2001 Honda Civic 4 door. As most 20-year-olds I am not married. I share an apartment in downtown Chicago with couple of my buddies.
Insurance Quotes: " &%#$! They want $295 per month!"
When I was buying my car I didn't really think about insurance costs much. When time came to look for a car insurance, it became clear to me that insurance for me is going to be very expensive. The first quotes I was getting were in $400+/ month range. I knew I couldn't pay so much so I started applying at lots of different insurance providers to try to lower my premium. I applied at virtually all big insurance companies. Geico, States Farm, Progressive, you name it, I have applied to them all. As the result, the lowest insurance rate I was able to get was from Progressive. They quoted me $295/mo or around $3500/year. This was better, but I still couldn't afford this much. When I would ask insurance companies, why the quote is so expensive, they would blame my age, lack of experience, as well as Honda Civic. They also said that apartment buildings in my area have a bad history of car theft and vandalism, this is why the theft part of my insurance was expensive.
Really upset... My friend gives me a website to try
I was really disappointed, it looked like I bought a car, but I cannot drive it because I can't afford to insure it. I was really upset and made my frustration public on facebook by updating my status. I can't remember what I put exactly, but all my buddies could see that I am getting raped by insurance companies. As the result, one of my high school friends sent me a message to try to get quote from 2Insure4Less. Apparently, he got a quote with them and they were able to give him the best deal out of all the companies he applied to.
I applied and BAM....$152/mo
To be honest, I didn't have much hope, that some website I have never heard of before is going to beat well-known insurance providers. I applied anyways. It turned out, 2Insure4Less doesn't provide insurance itself, but instead it gives you multiple quotes from different insurance companies in your city or state. They gave me like a dozen of quotes from various companies. The lowest one came at..... 152 dollars per month or just over $1800 annually. I was shocked! This was definitely affordable for me. So it ended up being a small insurance company, I have never heard of before. I am saving $143 per month or $1716 annually compared to my quote from Progressive.
All my friends got good deals too
Since then, I have told 7-8 people about this site and everyone got lower quotes from it. I don't know if it will be able to provide the lowest car insurance rates for everyone, so far it worked for me and all of my friends and all of us are between ages of 18-23. So I say, you should definitely apply at 2Insure4Less and then see if it works out to be the best deal you can get.

Cliff Notes - If you are like me and HATE reading long posts...
- I am a single 20-year-old guy with no driving experience and I drive Honda Civic (Perfect candidate for expensive car insurance).
- Applied for a car insurance quote to all insurance providers I could think off. Got the lowest rate of $295/mo from Progressive.
- Was really pissed, since I couldn't afford driving my car with insurance like that.
- Buddy recommended 2Insure4Less. I applied and they gave me over 10 different quotes from different companies, with the lowest being $152/mo.
- Recommended 2Insure4Less to 7 or 8 of my friends and they all got good deals.
Update
A couple of my friends got their insurance from Low Cost Car Insurance website and got amazing quotes. I suspect that they have the same system as 2insure4less. Note I do not have a personal experience with this site, but two of my friends got cheap insurance from them.
