Bad Credit Car Loans Can Help Avoid Dealer Rip-Offs

Online Bad Credit Loan Offers Wider Options To The Buyer Than a Dealer Loan.

If there is a better reason for getting a bad credit car loan online, it is because many times dealers add hidden and unnecessary fees and charges that you aren't aware of in different ways to charge you more for your auto purchase.

Many of these blatant rip-offs can be avoided by the wary and prepared buyer, regardless of an individual's financial situation. Here are just a few of the scams you should be aware of, and how to avoid them.

One of the sneakiest and most double handed rip-offs that dealers do involves people with bad credit. Basically, a buyer will purchase a car from a dealer. The buyer will sign all the paperwork, and drive the car home.

A week of two later, the buyer will get a call from the dealer, saying that you didn't qualify for the interest rate they agreed upon when you made the deal and took the car home. He now says that you are getting a loan at a higher finance rate, because you signed the contract, and in every contract, there is a provision that states that the purchase is "subject to loan approval".

Now, the dealer has the buyer over a barrel, and the terms can change, and they usually do, for the worse.

This happens all the time with people buying a new or used car, and the best way to stop it is to have your financing in place already before you go in to buy the car. Don't think that you can't find a bad credit car loanbefore you go shopping for a car. You can find lender who will finance you, regardless of your credit on our mini

Should You Get A Car Loan Online Or From The Dealer?

Online Shopping will ALWAYS get you a better deal in the long run. Here's why

If you think that you're getting the best deal by getting dealer financing when you purchase your car, think again.

If you get approved for a bad credit car loan straight from the dealer that you're purchasing the car from, you could end up severely limiting your car buying choices. Dealer financing will more than likely leave you overwhelmed with a high interest rate. By looking for a bad credit car loan online instead of waiting until you go to the dealer and securing a loan through them, you have a more likely chance of locking in a fair rate.

For listings of bad credit car loans check our mini page (here).

This is primarily because the online market is much more competitive that a dealer. There are tons of companies online who are all ready to compete for your business. They are more than willing (and able) to offer you lower rates, reasonable terms, and smaller lending fees.

And, the best part is, they won't think twice about your bad credit history.

The big advantage about shopping online for a bad credit car loan is the convenience of doing so. In most cases, you can get a free rate quote from one or more lending institutions in just a matter of minutes. Applications online are usually easier to fill out, and most online lenders are in most cases very quick to answer any questions or concerns you may have about your pending loan.

Before making a final decision, you should try to get several different quotes. This will allow you to compare the loan offers and their terms so you get the best bad credit car loan available.

Bad Credit Car Loan Scam: Packing Prices

How Dealers Trick You Into Paying (WAY) More Than You Should For a Car Loan

If you've even gone through the motions of buying a car, you know about this scenario: you agree to a price for a car with a salesman. You sit down, crunch some numbers, he says OK, and trots the numbers off to his sales manager.

A few minutes later, another person comes back with a set of papers and a new monthly payment price, higher than the number you agreed on.

He tells you that your agreed on price is ok, but the new number includes essentials you need to drive off the lot, like gap insurance extended warranties, and other items that the finance manager will hit you up for when you sign the final paperwork.

Know that this is called a "packed payment". It happens a lot to people when they buy a car...and it's illegal.

Most buyers will simply go ahead and accept the extras in the payment thinking they are getting a deal because they are getting all of the extras and their original payment never changed or went up!

But know this: dealers make a lot of extra money by packing payments in this matter.

The truth is that presenting a packed payment is illegal in most states. Yet many dealers continue to employ this financing scam.

The difference between the a month they give you and the amount you agreed upon is what is called in the business, "leg."

For example, you agree on $300, but the actual payment they sell is $400. Then they would have $100 in "leg".

Yet another reason to have your financing pre-arranged before you go into a dealer. Visit out mini-fact sheet for bad credit car loan lenders.
