Well if you reached this lens not sure what you were getting into, let me clear things up for you. Parking games are a new genre of online games that allow you to control a vehicle and attempt to get it into a parking space. Wow, pretty exciting, hu? If you think this sounds silly, you haven't tried them yet. These simple games range from your most basic move the car to the parking lot, to games that present you a complicated strategy involving many obstacles.

When I first heard about parking games, I was skeptical. I thought, what's the point of this? Parking is a pain as it is, why would I want to experience more of it?! Well I was wrong.

Imagine yourself driving down Main street looking for somewhere to park. You see a tight spot on the side of the road, and have to squeeze in quick while traffic is coming. You pull up like you're supposed to, and start to back in. When you get in you realize you're still a foot and a half from the curb? What went wrong? Quite possibly it was a small mistake in the strategy of squeezing in the spot.

Times like these you would wish you had a nice simple overview of the parking space, and could visually move your car in. Whether you realize it now or not, but playing these games could actually help refine your strategy to park your car. When you're just goofing around or trying to race against the clock, these games simply help you practice. While you won't learn to be a parking pro with these games, it can help refine your parking skills.

You wont always find parking games to be useful in a real world situation though. You can't expect the mechanics of these online flash games, developed by who knows who, to be a perfect representation of an actual vehicle sliding into a parking space.

Thankfully there can be a whole lot of fun as well. When playing these online games you have many opportunities to just simply have fun. So you're trying to get across the street and in a parking spot. See the moving traffic randomly coming down the road? Well floor the car and try and zig and zag through it quickly to get to your spot! Oh what's that, did you crash? Who cares! Try again!

It can be a lot of fun to simply goof around in these games. Race your car around the parking lot while trying to avoid obstacles at full speed! I dare ya.
