Just imagine one of your friends driving through the highway at top speed and suddenly he realizes that there is a suspension failure. What is next?
Or imagine a situation where your friend is in a major wheel collapse or separation in the highway while driving his Hyundai Sonata at rocket speed. What next?
There had been more than 40 similar reports (suspension failure and wheel collapse or separation) in USA and these put the U.S. National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) into investigation.

Can you guess the reason for all these accidents?
In most of the cases, the problem aroused due to the 'fist-sized holes' in the frame created by rusts. Exactly; rusts created 'fist-sized holes' in the frame and as most of the consumers reported, they could not identify the situation unless it was too late. In most of the cases, a lot of people could identify rust only when they were going for deep cleaning. However, from outside things seemed as perfect as always.
This is not about Hyundai Sonata alone. It can happen to any car that has been exposed to rust for a longer period. And as it is not always possible to deep clean your car regularly - rusts often start eating up the car body from interior.
As our experience goes, in a lot of cases, we have found that rusts have restructured its empire very soon even after proper cleaning. (I must say, in these situations, people used some general cleaners to remove rusts. And when the paint fell apart, rust started gathering again.)
If these (suspension failure and wheel collapse or separation) seem common to you just think about the person and his child who got stuck inside the car when it got disabled in the middle of the road while other cars swerved them at high speed.
And more importantly if you are living in the salt belt (like Connecticut, Illinois, New Hampshire, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia etc.); rusts are your permanent friends. Even if you hang your car in the garage to keep it away from salted and wet weather, it would surely get rusted sooner than you expected.

Is there any reason to blame Hyundai Sonata?
Of course there are lots of reasons to blame them for offering poor quality materials. But at the same time just think twice if you had taken proper care to fight against rust problems. What do you do in other situations - how do you fight against rust to save your regular utensils!
Is this time to change your rust cleaners?
We often find people using grease in the underbody of a car to save it from rusts. But do you really think it is good enough when you are riding through muddy or salty conditions! When you had been confident about the condition of your car, rusts were eating it up from inside.
Is there any solution to this problem?
There is no magic solution that can keep every part of your car free from rust or corrosion forever. And thus everything depends on the care you take to keep it healthy.
Here are some tips to keep your car rust free (you always knew about them):
- Change your cleaner and get high quality organic rust remover to remove rust from metal.
- There is no alternative to regular cleaning - do it at least once in a week.
- Do not forget to paint the parts properly after complete rust removal.
- Avoid driving through salty and wet conditions as far as possible.
