How to find Cardiff Freecycle

Freecycle is a community of people who have stuff they don't want that is too good to throw away.

Do you have something in your garage or stored somewhere in your house that you don't need any more... but you can't bear to throw it away?

Offer it up on Freecycle and someone else who wants it can give it some life!

Cardiff Freecycle

Step 1. Setting up your account 

Freecycle is what is called a 'Yahoo Group', which mean you need a Yahoo account to get started.

A Yahoo account is free, and takes about five minutes to register.

Step 2. Sign in to Freecycle 

Click the big link above and you'll be taken to the Cardiff Freecycle page. In the left hand column you'll see a little sign in button. It's very small.

Click it and sign in using your new Yahoo account information.

Step 3. Click 'Messages' 

You can then see on the top left of the page the word 'Messages'. If you click that you can see all the stuff that is getting posted and claimed by the Freecycle users in Cardiff.

If you see something you like, click on the name of the person offering it and email them asking you will take it if it is still available.

Step 4. Maybe post something of your own... 

If you have something you want to get rid of, why not post it up for other people to claim and make use of?

See the word 'Messages' on the left hand side? Look just under that and you'll see the word 'Post'.

Click that and post your own message for everyone to see and help stop so much junk going to the landfill this year :-)
