Cardinal in a Tree in Alabama

I woke today to see the sun shine through the trees and birds singing a tune of mellow rhythms. The wind was slowly moving the Alabama trees and I could hear traffic from the distance as though it was a waterfall from the mountain. I look above the trees to see white clouds and blues skies as though time were slowly compressed and the Universe and Earth in perfect Harmony.
I hear more birds talking and wonder what they are talking about. I have found new friends that fly and sit in the trees and listen to me as write and play different songs on my acoustic. Just the other day a very pretty red Cardinal sat on a limb and took a bath in front of me while I played a mellow tune. He looked at me and I looked at him and he just sat there for about 10 minutes.
I could not help but wonder what he was thinking about me and what I thought about him. He was a very beautiful bird with tall feathers on his head and a black face and was very bright red. He soon flew away and could not help to not think about what will come of this bird and his wood playground.
I suddenly got depressed and more depressed to think that people are so heartless and stupid to pollute, poison and cut down the trees and forest that he calls home. Not only do we need him to survive but also we should all make an effort to protect the animals that are valuable for harmony, balance, and life.
He is merely a songbird waiting to sing his song and may have flown for hundreds of miles to find the great Alabama backyard. I hope he hangs out all summer and finds safety and joy in the woods here rural Alabama.
It does trouble me that many cities and people spray deadly poisonous chemicals beside the roadways, which wash into the water table and into the rivers and streams. The first to feel the effects of the poison are the birds, insects, and plants. Without any of them, we would break the cycle of life that makes it possible for us to live here!
Without clean water many fish and animals will also die! It is time that we all make a difference and make the change in the world. We need to help our Cardinal friend stay healthy and make the journey through life.
What you can do today is look round you and open your eyes. Report when you see environmental crimes because if you do not, no one will. If you see dead plants along the roadside it is most likely because they were sprayed by the toxic chemicals that killed them. Say no to toxic spraying in your area and get involved with your local government. Lets all join together for the change that we so desperately need. The best thing we can do for the world is go green and stop using the man made deadly chemicals that is hurting the land under our feet.
So many people don't think about these simple things that are very bad for the world. I love nature and like to play at the creek and have found sadness. I have found that people dump garbage and waste into the rivers and woods. This practice is killing our rivers and animals also.
So next time you want help the world report spraying or dumping. It really will be the difference between life and death for the world around the Cardinals and us. There are so many plants and herbs that are essential to life that live in our world. There are even new plats and herbs discovered all the time. Many of the mysteries of life and health are found in nature. It is imperative that we protect the plants before they are all gone. Please give your heart to this cause.
I am waiting to see that great cardinal again and hear him sing me a song this time. His inspiration still lives within me and one day I hope to inspire someone that reads this to make for a difference for him and the world around us.
