Cardinal Tetra Fish: the brother of neon tetra

You are better keep the fish in large group. They will swim together with its group or at least five cardinal. One or three cardinal looks not good in the tank. The few fish also will be stress in lonely tank.

To rise the fish, you need the aquarium. The small aquarium can be used to raise the fish due the fish is small. A Cardinal need at least a gallon water. You can raise 30 cardinal in a 30 gallon tanks. You can use five gallons tank. There are better to keep in aquscaping. Either Blue or red color in the body fish will shine.

The fish like dim light, so you should decrease bright of lamp. Alternatively, you can put the floating water plant at the top of water.

You can also raise the cardinal with other peaceful fish such as platy, molly, neon tetra, and others. Do not fish aggressive fish at the tanks. It could eat tetra fry.

The fish is fussy eater and receive all fish food that fits with its small food. The flake food is also good for the fish.

I must warn you that this fish is difficult to breed due we are difficult to sexing the fish. Either male or female has similar color and performance. The fish often eat the eggs. You should remove the cardinal when you see the eggs. The eggs will hatch in 24 hours or a day.
