The Lair of Cards Hasn't Collapsed Yet...
The Lair of Cards is one of the Lair's Premium Cafepress LairShops; and the only one dedicated entirely to paper-related products--calendars, stickers, journals, framed prints and such like. I've tossed around the idea of adding a SubLair with a truckload of ceramic ornaments featuring our collection of Neolithic-inspired digital art; but I haven't made a firm decision on that quite yet.
Unlike our Basic LairShops, the Lair of Cards doesn't focus on a particular image or image-theme. Rather, the array of paper products are the theme here; the LairShop now consists of six SubLairs, each devoted to a particular type of paper item--stickers, cards, etc. Several SubLairs, in turn, are further subdivided by size or dimension of item--Cards the Lair Built, for example, has smaller sections for notecards, greeting cards and postcards.
The selection of images is also expanded here, with more digital art images, Irish scenic photos, aerial photos, and images from my adopted hometown of Seattle, Washington. More images are being added all the time; and I hope you will enjoy them and the varied products they show up on!
NOTE: Right now, I have an enormous backlog of digital images on my hard drive in need of processing and uploading to the Cafepress LairShops, my Imagekind Gallery, and elsewhere. Procrastinator that I am, I am literally years behind with some of these collections. Guess I'd better put this on my spring cleaning to-do list, before my HP notebook hard drive runs out of memory!!
UPDATE (SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2009): As of Black Friday '09, our expansion of the Lair of Cards and The LithicLair (see related lenses) continues apace, including a stunning collection of Neolithic-themed round ornaments in the latter, which is still being developed! New images are being created and added to the motley collection at All Bunnyz, All the Time; and Premium upgrades of that LairShop and Eireann85 are in the works--look for that new develop by New Year's!
Dissecting the Lair of Cards
Visiting our SubLairs and All their Various Sections...
There are currently six primary sections to the Lair of Cards. As mentioned above, I've thought about breaking my paper-only rule and adding a SubLair for ceramic ornaments (especially featuring the Neolithic-inspired stuff); but Christmas is over for another year. Meanwhile, I'd like to introduce our six SubLairs, and the assortment of subsections in each one...1) Journals and Scripts: This is where journals go, and maybe even our original manuscripts in book/ebook form, whenever we get around to publishing them...
2) Our New Calendar Page: Can you fit a day into a two-dimensional square, in rows and columns with other two-dimensional squares? Our calendars attempt to do that very thing, with a mixture of Irish scenic shots, aerial photos, Neolithic digital art pieces and mixed shots from around the United States.
3) Lair of the Sticker Shock: Lovely adhesive images suitable for sticking on guitar cases, telephone poles, laptops, and your boyfriend's iPod...- Lapel Sticker Shock: Round stickers, that is.
- Rectangular Sticker Shock: Sort of truncated bumperstickers.
- Oval Sticker Shock: We need to create a few more of these beauties.
- Bumpersticker Shock: We especially like the music-related ones.
4) The Print Gallery: All sorts of lovely items that go on your walls, desk, refrigerator, and the like...
- Small Framed Prints: A curious collection of 14 x 6" framed prints.
- Framed Panel Prints: More compact and rectangular prints.
- Large Framed Prints: Larger versions--frame size 15" x 19".
5) The PosterLair: The things you mostly tape or pin to hard surfaces, though you can frame them too, if that's your pleasure...- The Large PosterLair: 23" x 35" posters.
- The Small PosterLair: Some 16"x 20" posters.
- The Mini PosterLair: Posters of the 11x17 variety. You know, big concert flyers and such...
6) Cards the Lair Built: Greeting cards, postcards, calling cards, whatever one can print on cardstock...- Lair of Note Cards: Kind of like greeting cards, only smaller and squarish...
- Lair of Postcards: Those stand-alone cards you write on and slap a stamp to.
- Lair of Greeting Cards: The type of cards you open up after removing from envelopes.
The Lair of Cards: A Sampling of Highlights...

Yes, we know that the Lair of Cards is still in development, and new products will be added soon to flesh out the various sections. We're hoping for at least a dozen items per subsection. Aside from this little glitch, what do y'all think?
