A company would prefer to find the key part of the plant and recreate it artificially and add chemicals etc.. which then give side effects. But allow them to make a fortune. Honey is the best antibiotic I can find. It cleared up an eye infection within a day while the steroids my eye doctor gave me the previous time took a at least 3 days to clear up.

Cleanse Yourself With Body Detox
Go for a non toxic lifestyle. This means going for natural food, drinking lots of fluids, especially water, exercising regularly and avoiding toxic food like junk food, canned food, and other processed food. At the same time, you can try out a Detox Diet that will cleanse your body and give relief to body aches, allergies, digestive problems and other related concerns.
If you are on a detox program, take as much fresh fruits and vegetables as possible, nuts, beans, rice and grains. On the other hand, take note not to indulge in sugar, caffeine, yeast, alcohol, chocolates and other foods rich in additives and preservatives.

Reduce That Bloated Tummy
Of course many of us are concerned about getting rid of that belly we have built up, and we want to make way for a more toned midriff to show through. Some of you girls who have let yourselves go a little in the winter months may be working overtime now that it is almost April and thoughts of bikinis are dancing in your heads.
Well I have good news for you all, I have some stomach exercises to speed the process along. Some you will find are better than others, including these few, which are good, specifically for reducing the size of that tummy. These particular exercises are targeted at beginners, so give them a try if you are just starting out. Once you have mastered these, feel free to advance to something more challenging. When doing these exercises, it is important to move slowly so as to maintain control and not allow momentum to take over. As with any workout routine, be sure to consult a professional before beginning and always use a warm up routine first to avoid injury.
The Vertical Leg Crunch
This is a variation on the traditional crunch that focuses more specifically on reducing stomach fat. To begin this stomach exercise, first lie on your back ensuring you are on a flat surface, such as the floor. Use a mat or towel to cushion your spine. Put your hands behind your head, with elbows out far enough that they are out of sight. Now lift your legs straight up into the air, crossing your ankles and bending your knees slightly. Contract your abdominals and lift your shoulders, head and upper back up to about a thirty degree angle. Be aware of not lifting with your hands or leading with your head.
The Hip Lift
You will need to stay on your back for this stomach exercise. Use a mat or towel to cushion your spine. Put your arms at your sides with palms facing up to the ceiling. Put your legs straight up in the air so that the soles of your feet are facing the ceiling and your legs make about a ninety degree angle with your torso. Keep your knees unbent and as straight as possible. Now, contract your abdominal muscles so that it feels like your belly button is being pulled toward your spine, while at the same time gently lifting your hips off the floor. Raise your hips to a height of a few inches, keeping your legs extended straight upward. Hold this position for around ten seconds, then slowly lower your hips back to the floor. Repeat for an entire set.
Long Arm Crunch
For this stomach exercise, remain on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat. Lie back and extend your arms straight back on the floor as though you are reaching above your head. Contract your abdominals and slowly lift your arms, head and shoulders off the floor to about a thirty degree angle. Hold it, then slowly lower your shoulders back to the floor. Repeat for an entire set. Be careful not to lead with your arms, keeping them straight and alongside your head.
When To Do Stomach Exercises
There is no question about it, people, especially us girls want flatter stomachs. Whether it is a woman who just had a baby, or a man who wants to impress someone, or anyone in between. While most people have good intentions when it comes to building their abdominal muscles, not as many people can find the time or dedication to really follow through to see real results, and most often give up. To remedy the problem there are several ideas that can help a person wanting to get a flatter stomach but cannot find the time or energy to do intense stomach exercises.
For as many people that want to do stomach exercises, there are just as many people, probably more, that like to watch television. This is a perfect time to do stomach exercises. During commercials, or every ten minutes if there are no commercials, try lying on the floor and doing as many stomach exercises as possible during the break. If you have not done stomach exercises in awhile, it is best to start of very slowly, but eventually make it a game, and try to get more repetitions in each time. By following this simple plan, it will help your body in several different ways. First of all, there is no extra scheduling involved, for most people, watching television at some point in the day is natural so no extra time is taken out of the day to do stomach exercise. The second thing this strategy helps with is that the human body should not remain motionless for more then thirty minutes anyway, by getting up and doing stomach exercises every few minutes it really boosts up the bodies metabolism.
Another good time to do stomach exercises is first thing in the morning. Try rolling out of bed, perhaps literally, and lie down on the floor and do as many repetitions as possible in a set amount of time, even if it is just five minutes. There is a lot of evidence to suggest that exercising first thing in the morning may be more beneficial to a person than trying to exercise at other times of the day. While there are many reasons for this, one valid reason is that it gets the metabolism going for the day after a nights sleep. Since most people are extra concerned about the appearance of their stomach, it seems logical to start the day with a good set of stomach exercise.
Of course, for those of us who are in a position to dedicate time each day to exercising, our routine should include stomach exercises. There are some reports that say that muscles need time to rest, so only exercise a particular group of muscles every other day, while other reports say that stomach muscles are ok to exercise everyday. One way to answer the question on when to do stomach exercises, every day or every other day is first listen to your body. If the stomach muscles are sore, rest them, if not then maybe one day work on them more intensely then the next day, but try to include at least one set of stomach exercises daily.
There is good reason for wanting to develop strong stomach muscles, besides for appearance sake. This is the core of your body. If it is not strong, the rest of your body will suffer. The good news is that most stomach exercises can be done anywhere with absolutely no machines or gadgets. With a little diligence and some creativity, there are plenty of times throughout the day to sneak in stomach exercises

Rest and Sleep
Sometimes, when we are ill or are feeling exhausted, we find that we cannot sleep well at night. There are a number of things which we can do to induce sleep. A warm bath before going to bed, followed by a gentle massage, especially along the full length of the spine, these things will often be enough to relax the nerves and muscles, and will produce very good results. A hot foot bath, which draws the blood away from the brain, will usually be of help. A glass of hot milk or cocoa, taken just before bed time, will very often have the same effect. If the sleeplessness is a result of indigestion, a plain diet should relieve the problem. Sleeping on a hard bed without a pillow sometimes produces the desired effect. Always have plenty of fresh air in the room. Keep your mind free from the troubles of the day. If the stress of your day does intrude, crowd it out by repeating something else some soothing sentence or bit of poetry. One good plan is to close the left nostril by pressing on it with the finger, then take four deep breaths through the right nostril. Then close the right nostril and take four deep breaths through the left one. Repeat this about four times. Then breathe slowly through both nostrils, but count your breaths. You will seldom be able to count very many. Never take any sleeping powders or tablets except upon the advice of a medical professional, as they usually contain drugs that can injure the heart.
You can often meet people who are nervous, which of course means that they cannot control their nerves, they always allow nerves to get the better of them. Quite often the signs of this are, palpitation of the heart, headache, backache, and a number of other disorders. There may well be a tendency to cry for no apparent reason, or a feeling of having the blues. The cause of this can usually be found in uncongenial surroundings or perhaps occupation, loss of friends, or real or fancied troubles. If you are able to be a people person, then I cannot see any reason why you will not succeed. You just need to know how to begin.
1. Always be genuine.
Being a Hypocrite will just bring down. Be genuinely nice and show an interest in people. As soon as they perceive you to be a hypocrite with selfish intentions, you may as well say goodbye to self empowerment.
2. Always be a good listener.
To earn that much needed love and trust of people, listen to their problems and sympathize with them. Do not just hear them out, listen to them with your heart. Make eye contact when the person talks to you. Listen as if every word they utter really matters, and it does. You will score points when they realize that there is a confidante in you.
3. Laugh out loud.
Now, when I say laugh out loud, I do not mean that should you force yourself to laugh at every joke told by someone, of course you may not find it funny at all. What this means is, that you find humour in things and do not be too serious. Someone who has a wonderful sense of humour easily attracts a crowd and will, eventually, attract success.
4. Do not forget yourself.
While you are in the process of dashing around and mingling like a fully fledged socialite, you may forget yourself, allowing others to push you over. Remember, love and value yourself before anyone else. If you see yourself as being respectable and worthy of affection, people will flock to you and not trample on you.
5. Perform random acts of kindness.
You do not have to put on a millionaire act and give all your savings to charity. Small acts of kindness matter the most, and this can be something as simple as giving someone a surprise friendship card or helping an elderly person to cross the street. When we were children, kindness was taught to us and was practised often. Now is the time to revive the good deeds and this time, let them stay for good.
6. Contact old friends.
It is sad how some friendships are destined to be lost, thanks to technology however, you can do something about it. Relive those grand old days by flicking through your yearbook and look for those nice people who you wish to communicate with again. Adding these old friends to your list of supporters will I am sure make you feel good all over.
7. Develop your personality.
Are you one of those people who is always angry, are you grouchy, grumpy and generally morose? Well stop right there, you cannot go through life like this. Get rid of those bad traits and habits that are continually hampering your growth. And lets face it, who wants a grouchy friend anyway?
8. Be confident.
Be confident and willing to make that first move, walk on over to the other corner of the room and introduce yourself to people with a winning smile on your face. Remember Though: be confident, never arrogant.
9. Practice control.
When you are angry, and we all have those moments, do not snap at anyone. Never ever throw a tantrum. Keep cool, calm and collected. Be strong enough to take control of the situation and turn your anger into something more productive and passive. As soon as people see that your anger reaches volcanic proportions easily, they will find it very hard to approach you.
10. Always nurture your relationships.
The relationship you have with your family, friends and partners is something which is so precious that you should never neglect it whatever happens. Go out and have fun with them. Do things together. Happiness will never be far from your side so long as the people who matter most to you remain close.
This all makes for a much more happier you, using people for self empowerment means becoming a better and more lovable person. You will be in a a win win situation: when people know that they can turn to you whenever they need you and vice versa.

Many studies have been carried out, the results of which show that meditation does bring about beneficial physiological effects to the body. And there have been growing demands within the medical community for further research into the effects of such. So in the not to distant future, who knows, that mystical, esoteric thing we call meditation may well become a science in itself!
Fitness for Women
1. To stay fit and healthy you need to
have a good balanced diet. Find out what the correct weight is for your
age and keep monitoring it. Consult a medical professional/nutritionist
to learn which food you should avoid and follow your eating discipline
routines. If you are trying to lose weight, high calorie foods should
be omitted from your meals. Food which is high in fibre and low in fat
should be included a priority in your shopping list instead of red
meat, sugars and fats.

Always drink plenty of water. Drink at least eight glasses of water
each day. This removes impurities from the body. It is also advised for
lactating women to increase water intake to keep the body hydrated.
3. Take Vitamins and Supplements. Do
not forget your Calcium supplement. Sufficient Calcium intake is
beneficial for women of all ages. This has been proven to prevent
cramps and Pre-Menstrual Period Symptoms (PMS). It also prevents
Osteoporosis especially for menopausal women. Vitamin E will build a
strong immune system. Women who undergo menopausal period should take
Vitamin E-400 as it stops night sweats and hot flushes. Also, Vitamin E
is said to be best in avoiding wrinkles when ageing.
4. Quit smoking. If you are a smoker,
stop. It is also a big "NO" for pregnant women, as
this will affect the health of the baby. Pregnant women who smoke may
pass the harmful content of cigarettes to babies through the
bloodstream. Recent studies have shown that women smokers are more
prone to diseases than male smokers. Women who smoke have a high risk
of getting breast cancer. Also limit your alcohol intake.
5. Incorporate exercises into your
daily routine. Take a walk after work, use stairs instead of the
elevator or play with your kids when you are at home. Home exercises
are also effective especially when you do not have time to go to the
gym and would like to lose some weight. Yoga and Palates are only a few
of the many effective exercises you can do at home. Exercises help in
limiting the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
6. Avoid stress. Many women are prone to suffering
with stress. Stress has been known as the cause of many illnesses. As
much as possible take time to relax. Read a good book, hang out with
friends and engage into sports. Pamper yourself by going to beauty
parlours or you can have some retail therapy. And do not forget to get
enough sleep to revive your energy.

Use sunscreen to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun.
Wear hats when under the sun to protect your skin. Too much sun is bad
for your skin. The skin is prone to cancer when exposed to too much
sunlight. It also speeds up the ageing of skin cells, which causes
wrinkles in women.

Make sure to visit your dentist to keep that beautiful smile. Always
have it cleaned to prevent cavities and bad breath.
9. Visit your Gynaecologist. Women who
are eighteen and above should have their Physical Examination annually
especially for the Pap Smear test. Women who are forty and up should
have their mammograms and the Breast self exam is encouraged once
puberty has been reached and should become a habit as they mature.
10. Safe sex is strongly recommended.
Use condoms to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.

Our bodies consist of over 75% water, and as I am sure that you are all aware, we cannot survive without water. In actual fact the longest we can survive without hydrating ourselves with water is three days. We have replaced water in our diets with soft drinks and other various sugar loaded drinks. We must bear in mind that water is not only necessary for a longer life, it is also much healthier.Exercise, weight and your temperature greatly affect your personal need for water. It has been shown through past research that two thirds of adults do not drink enough water on a daily basis. By drinking water on a regular basis you can replenish your body and keep it well hydrated and functioning as it should be.
The vast majority of us will wait until we feel thirsty before we drink water. You must bear in mind that this is not a reliable way to gauge the water needs of your body. By the time you start to feel thirsty, you will have already lost a large amount of your body's water supply. Therefore, it is essential that you drink water regularly instead of waiting until you are thirsty.
It is vitally important that you do not substitute things like alcohol and caffeine for water. The reason for this is, that these types of beverages are diuretics and will cause you to lose more
water through increased urination. You may well believe you are getting more water through these beverages, however, the fact is, that you are losing it almost as fast as you consume it.
Whenever you exercise, you will need more water. This is due to perspiration, your body will lose quite a lot of water this way. For short bouts of exercise, you will need to drink around two cups of water to replace what you have lost, for more extensive exercise then perhaps two to three cups per hour. Even while you are in bed and asleep, your body will lose water. By drinking a glass or more of water before you go to sleep, you can wake up with your body functioning as it should be.
You should also understand that, when you are ill you will require more water than at any other time. When you have a cold or flu, your body can and usually does become dehydrated quite quickly. You can help to prevent this by drinking more water at times when you become ill. Dehydration can sometimes make you feel much worse than the illness itself.
There are a number of mixed opinions as to whether purified water will actually provide benefit. This is a subject you should explore yourself as you determine the best type of water is suited to you.
Get into the habit of drinking water on a daily basis. It would help if you can keep a bottle of water with you at all times and drink it throughout the day. You should also get into the habit drinking water instead of other beverages that do not replenish the nutrients your body needs.
