Some really nice places are listed here for a career break. I think two places are missing Goa and North-East. Still nice places for a career break and for a new start.

Thanks for inquiring about the ExSquidition Travel Journal post! This lens definitely meets my own personal standards for the blog. All that I require is 200 words per link to a lens. The post can be as lengthy as you'd like, you can use HTML, and you can also link to other outside resources besides your Squidoo lenses (but no affiliate links please). Usually, the posts that do the best are the ones that are resources on their own, in addition to linking to your lens.

I just checked Google and there are no other pages on the web with these words in the title: "Plan an India Sabbatical" - just a thought!

You can use the 'contact me' button to email the post once you are finished. Thanks for your interest in posting! I'm looking forward to what you come up with.

Beautiful! I've taken a career break of sorts for six weeks for our honeymoon. It was incredible, I'd definitely recommend it. The cost of the vacation was a bit expensive, but it gave me so many great memories that I don't have an ounce of regret. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. In fact, I plan to again someday when the time is right. It looks like you'll have an amazing trip, and plenty to write about when you get back. Well done!

Yes, I have and it rejuvenates one to pick up work again. It also leads to new career choices.

Ooh, I am soooo jealous! I spent time in India many years ago before kids and a mortgage, and I'd love to be joining you on your adventure. Thanks for all the great links. I'm favoriting this lens so I can come back and dream about taking my own gap year for grown-ups. Have a GREAT time in India!
  • LKW31 Apr 12, 2010 @ 6:55 pm | delete
I have the mortgage, but no kids so now is the time to do it! I will probably do a follow up lens on my Great Adventures! Thank you for your feedback and taking time to comment.

Thanks for this great 5 star lens! I'm glad you enjoyed my lens on Bhutan. I took my friends advise and encourage you to do the same - take a second mortgage do whatever you need to do but definately go to Bhutan!
  • LKW31 Apr 12, 2010 @ 6:53 pm | delete
I will I will! Goodness knows how I am going to fit all this into 6 months! I have lensrolled your Bhutan lens and put it in the related pages too - it is a Must See lens I think!
