Why Working from Home is a Great Career Change

Are you ready to make a career change? If you are like millions of other working women, the answer is "yes."

Working outside the home can be hectic and exhausting, especially if you're trying to juggle your home life with a full time job. And it can seem like, no matter how hard you work, you never get ahead.

It's no wonder millions of women are thinking of trading in their 9 to 5 jobs, and working from the comfort of their own home. After all, consider the benefits.

No Commute. Sometimes, it can seem like the most stressful part of having a job outside the home is getting there. Having kids to get ready too adds even more stress. But, when you work from home, you don't have to worry about battling traffic every day to get to work. You just have to walk down the hall to your home office.

A Flexible Schedule. When you work from home, you set your own hours. If you have to take time off to take your child to a doctor's appointment, or visit a sick relative, you can do so without fuss or hassle.

Getting Ahead. Many people find that they make more money working from home than they ever did at their traditional jobs. And it took less time and effort.

As you can see, trading in your 9 to 5 job to work at home instead is a career change that has countless benefits.

Making a Career Change: Work from Home Opportunities

Maybe you are thinking about making a career change, but you aren't sure what kinds or work from home jobs are available to you.

No matter what your skills, interests, or experience level, you can make money working online.

Do you like to write? If so, there are countless work from home opportunities for you. You could start a money-making blog. You can write and sell your own ebook. Or you can work as a freelancer, writing articles and ebooks for others for a fee.

Do you have a special interest? All of your interests are money-making opportunities. For example, if you like to garden, you can start a blog about gardening. And, on your blog, you'd promote affiliate products.

Do you have secretarial skills? If so, you can become a virtual assistant. Your clients will pay you to do things like type up reports, proofread fliers, make reservations, and keep them on schedule.

Do you have a telephone? If so, there are hundreds of legitimate companies out there that will hire you to, for example, take customer service calls.

And those suggestions are just the tip of the iceberg.

Making a career change, and finding a work from home job that is the perfect fit for you, is easier than ever before.

Making a Career Change: Finding Well-Paying Work from Home Jobs

Thanks to the Internet, making a career change from working 9 to 5 to working at home has never been easier. But, while there are a lot of legitimate ways to make money online, some just aren't as profitable as others.

So, how do you find legitimate work at home jobs that pay well?

Do Your Research. Find out what the standard pay for the job you want is. For example, you might come across a job offering to pay you $3 for each 400 word article you write from them. But, through your research, you might discover that even $5 an article is considered low by some, and the least you should accept.

Ask Around. If you see an ad for an online job, go to a "work from home" message board and ask about the company. Others will share their experiences (good or bad) about the company. They'll also let you know if other, similar companies pay more.

Less to Start? If you find an online job that doesn't seem to pay as much as you'd like, consider the trade offs. With an online job, you won't have to pay for gas, or work clothes, or daycare, or lunches. So accepting a little less to start might be okay when you add it all up.

Working from home is a great way to make a career change. But make sure you are being paid enough for your hard work.
