Where does one begin to list the immense talent of Carey Norby? I guess we begin at the beginning.

This former head cheerleader, homecoming queen and Miss South Lake Tahoe beauty pageant runner up, not only obviously possessed extreme beauty but graduated at the top of her class in academics.

Growing up in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, her remarkable talents were immediately noticed in the areas of music, drama, singing, animation and writing.

In Her Professional Life

Carey was also a consummate musician and her music could be heard in concert halls and other such venues throughout. If you were lucky, you would have been able to catch one of Carey's numerous shows around the world.

And It All Doesn't Stop There

Carey was an exceptionally talented multi-media artist. Her art shows could be seen in the west coast as well as on the Big Island of Hawaii. Her dedication to nature and spirit could be seen in the minutely-detailed sculptures of her series on lava petroglyphs.

Some of her other works included, illustrating children's books and her series on Mermaids.

She left us on October 14, 2005, at the age of 51, leaving behind a sample of her legacy that can be felt in her A Moment In Time CD. Listen to her songs and you can't deny that her voice is truly a gift to the world.
