No Heat in Car ?
Oh no! What do you do when your car heater not working? How do you figure out why there's no heat in car? What if you have no heater in car? Before you start trying to figure out how to fix car heater yourself, you should know a little about how your car's heating system operates. That will help you to figure out your car heater problem and why your heater isn't working properly or even at all! So, let's talk about how your heating system functions and then about some of the more obvious reasons that it you may be getting no heat from car heater. In order to heat up the inside of your car, the heating system uses some of the excess heat produced from your engine. Actually the engine produces so much heat that if you didn't have a way to release it (the heating/cooling system in your car) it could harm and even destroy the engine! That is why the heating/cooling system is set up to remove some of the heat and keep your car running smoothly.

No Heat in Car ? Check these things .......
You would be surprised at where all that heat goes. Some of the heat is gotten rid of by exhaust but most of the excess heat is taken care of by just circulating a mixture of water and antifreeze (coolant). The coolant heats up and is taken from your engine into the radiator hoses and that moves the heat from the coolant to the outside air. Because the heat transfers outside, it makes the temperature of the coolant lower. The mixture is then sent thru the whole process again and again. Usually the radiator is right in the front of the car, under the hood. There is also a heater core that is used with the heating/cooling system.
There are several things you can check for if your car heater blowing cold air . The first thing you should do is to make sure that your coolant is low or at the right level. Make sure to check the fluid levels according to wether your car is hot or cold. There should be markers on the coolant container that say something like "full hot" and "full cold" to help you figure out if there is enough fluid in there. If you refill the coolant to the right level and you keep having to refill it every day or few days, you may have a coolant leak. If there is not enough coolant in the system, the heater core will not work right and will not produce heat because there is not enough fluid circulating so it would feel like there is no heater in car.

No Heat From Car Heater? No Heater in Car? Check these too!
Next you should check your heater control valve. You need the heater control valve to work properly because helps the heater core work properly. Check the heater control valve under your hood. If your car is running, the vacuum line or cable running from the heater core to the valve should be warm to the touch. If it is not warm, then the control valve may be stuck in place and you should put in a new one. Make sure if you replace this to check the coolant levels again.
In your car's system, a blower motor is used to move the (heated or cooled) air around. If this motor is having electrical problems, it may not be working properly and would cause your heater not to work. This would mean that you would be getting no heat from car heater. To see if this may be the problem you can check the proper fuse for this component in your car's fuse box (there may be one or two boxes, depending on your car). If the fuse is blown, try replacing it with a new one to see if that helps. If not, you may be having a problem with the blower motor itself.
