- BUYOUT
I find a lot of people are thinking this is the better way to go because they are either over on their kms, have damages or a combination of both.
Keep In Mind
You can not haggle on the buyout. It is what it is plus fees and taxes. On top of that you are responsible for a safety and getting the vehicle e-tested.WHY IS THIS NOT NECESSARILY THE BEST OPTION
If the value of your vehicle is less than your buyout then you are paying more for the vehicle than it is actually worth
Why would you do that?
You are far better off to give this car and get into a new vehicle. EVEN IF you are over on your kms and have damages, I can work with you and help out to get you into a new vehicle. - NEW VEHICLE
Chrysler Canada will typically offer your some form of Lease Loyalty cash along with the current programs and of course Scarsview Chrysler has an incentive thrown in as well.
With this option you give your current leased vehicle back and pick up your new vehicle. Again, if you are over on your kms or have damages I can help you with those. - WALK AWAY
You can decide to give the current leased vehicle back and leave yourself open to decided a different vehicle brand altogether. If you elect this option you are responsible for any km overage and/or damages you have.
If you elect this option, then book a pre-inspection appointment so that you know ahead of time if the vehicle is good to go as is, of it you have damages you are responsible for. During the pre-inspection we walk around your vehicle and let you know what repairs are required if any.
If you have damages you can have them fixed prior to dropping the vehicle off or, you can send it back to Chrysler and they will bill you for the damages. Keep in mind that you are better off to have the vehicle repaired prior to going back to Chrysler ... it works out more cost effective in the long run. - EXTEND MY LEASE
If you decide you want to extend your lease you can certainly do so. Lease extentions are handled through Chrysler Canada directly. Have your account number handy when you call and they will discuss the lease extension with you and will provide you with all the details.

Thank you for the post by the way. If you are in a different brand and want to get out of your lease and into a Jeep, no a challenge. What you need to do is call the financial center (ie GMAC) and ask them for your buyout information and how many kms you were allowed at lease expiry. From there come on in and we'll take the Wrangler out for a test drive to make sure you like the ride and it will fit within your lifestyle, then we'll go over the options that you have!

Things You Need To Consider Prior to Your Lease Expiring ...
Before I am able to help you during the lease expiry process, I will be asking you a few questions when you call or email me. Give these questions some thought because in knowing what you want to do, helps me give you the best options available.
- How many kms does your vehicle have?
Knowing how many kms you are over or at least what the odometer is currently at gives me an idea as to whether you are over your kms or within the amount you were alloted initially. - Does your vehicle have any damages?
Again, if you have damages they need to be taken care of prior to giving the vehicle back to Chrysler. If you have the Worry Free XS Coverage (the package that covers you for $3500.00 worth of damages), then you have nothing to worry about you're covered. If you didn't purchase that coverage initially then those damages have to be repaired. - Have your needs changed?
At the time of your initial lease you may have needed a something bigger or smaller as the case maybe. Now ... what are you needs and have they changed since?
LEASE PRE-INSPECTION
What Happens During the Pre-Inspection
As you draw closer to your lease expiring you will receive, in the mail, a letter from Scarsview Chrysler. Within that letter are the details of new programs and incentives that are available for you to take advantage of. You will also be encouraged to book a Pre-Inspection Appointment, I'll cover what we will go over during that inspection in just a second ... but what I want to stress more than anything is ...BOOK YOUR PRE-INSPECTION APPOINTMENT AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE THE LETTER ... the whole idea is to give yourself enough time to think about your options and, if need be, make sure you can make your repairs and find any of the missing pieces of equipment in a timely manner
1. Inspect You Vehicle for Damages
We will let you know what you need to repair and/or things that you need to return with the vehicle. If you have Worry Free XS then you are covered up to $3500 worth of damages. Things you need to make sure you return with the vehicle are things like:
(a) both sets of keys,
(b) headsets and remotes for DVD
(c) cargo nets
(d) tonneau covers
(e) manuals
...these items do not fall under the Worry Free XS coverage
2. Appraise Your Vehicle
Remember what I said above. If your vehicle in today's market is valued lower than the boy-out then why are you spending more money for this vehicle than what it is actually worth? Your vehicle will be appraised so that you know what it is worth and can compare it to your buy-out.
3. What You Want To Do?
We'll go over the options available to you based on your situation, (I mentioned those above), and from there you can think about what it is you might want to do.

This is IMPORTANT. When you initially leased your car your needs might have been different than what they are now. If you find you are driving more due to maybe a change in jobs, you moved and your commute is more than what it was, and you think your kms are going to be more than what you were allowed, do this...
Call Chrysler Canada at 1-800-465-2001, talk to them about your situation and have them build in extra kms into your lease payment now. Yes your payment will go up a little to compensate for the kms you are adding, but you are avoiding what could be a large bill for km overage at the end of your lease.
2. Can I Get Out Of My Lease?
If you want to get out of your lease there are a few ways you can do that. Give me a call to book an appointment and we'll sit down and go over everything together and you can decide which way will work better for you!
