I found that the following Carne Asada recipe allowed me to inexpensively bring this extraordinary Mexican restaurant experience back into my life.

Easy Carne Asada recipe

For Beginners

2 hours prior to grilling, marinate 3-4 lbs of flank or skirt steak in:

  • 1/2 cup of cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup of white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano

    For carne asada try the skirt steak. It is a bit less expensive. I am on the west coast of U. S. May not be available where your are. The spices sound very good. I will try that on our carne asada. My husband puts lemon on almost everything he eats Mexican.
