Carole King
Carole King
was one of the very first successful singer/songwriters of the rock era and she is my personal favorite. I love Carole King! I remember singing her songs while growing up in the 70's. I loved to sing "You Gotta Friend". My favorite album (I still own today) is her Tapestry album which was released in 1971. This album includes "It's too Late" and "I feel the Earth Move" as well as many others. Carol King is also a pianist. Tapestry made Carol King a superstar overnight and it became the biggest selling album of all time. During the 70's Carole King earned 6 gold or platinum albums.

- Yes I am! My stepdad bought me Tapestry a few years back and I fell in love. I want more Carole King music! What other albums of hers do you recommend? I really enjoy her music. It's very soothing and her lyrics are so honest. Some of her songs on 'Tapestry' made me cry the first time I heard them. Especially "It's Too Late". That one still affects me...

- Nice tribute lens to this classic album. I didn't use to like this in the 70's, but my tastes have somewhat mellowed these days. I did see James Taylor in concert once. Lensrolled to my Song Lyric lenses.
