Carp fish is a very beautiful fish and in japan carp fish are known as koi. It gives me calm feeling when I see them swimming on the pond. Koi carp fish have many varieties in color, that is the reason why in my country Koi carp fish can be so expensive. The price of koi carp fish depends on it color and color pattern, the brighter the color in koi scale, more expensive the koi. Keeping Koi is a fun hobby and is believed to reduce stress levels. Koi fish are intelligent and can be taught to eat from your hand. But sometimes such voracious fish that will eat just about anything you throw into the pond. Koi can also hear and will respond to the voices, especially voices from the owner. Many variety of koi were originally domesticated in East Asia and according to some research koi are descended from multiple lineages of common carp from both Western Eurasian and East Asian varieties. This could be the result of koi being bred from a mix of East Asian and Western Eurasian carp varieties, or koi being bred exclusively from East Asian varieties and being subsequently hybridized with Western Eurasian varieties. When you will buy koi, the first to consider is the seller facilities, whether they use the correct filtration system? test by giving the seller any questions about quarantine techniques, species or varieties of koi. Always provide good quality food.

Keep the cleanliness of your pond.
The water in the koi pond can be kept clean with a filter that able to keep the water clear and healthy. Drain koi pond once every 3 months as long you can provided a good filtration system and running well. We do not have to drain the water until it runs out, but reserving 25% of the total water pond. This is useful for carp fish remain in the pond and later after the pond is filled, the oxygen content in the pond are still available so that the carp fish did not lose consciousness.

Provide a reserve tank complete with heater, filter and aerator
If your carp fish look unwell, move the carp fish into the aquarium to be quarantined because it was feared the fish exposed to infectious diseases. Maintain temperature at 28 degrees Celsius. Give the medicine as soon as possible.
