- I put velcro on the back of carpet runners and it stops them from slipping, it's easy to do and keeps your mats and runners in place.

- I have stair threads for the steps outside the house and these are there for safety reasons. My mom had carpet runners installed on her wood stairs partly to keep her from slipping and also to enhance the overall look.
