Carribean Vacation Rentals

This blog should provide you with useful information about how to spend unforgettable caribbean vacations by renting/hiring facilities instead of booking rooms at hotels.

Summer vacation? Why don't you book a rental?

As said in an earlier text, your Carribean Vacation Rentals is one of the fastest growing travelling segment. In particular, Vacation rentals are the fastest growing trend in the industry, but have long been popular in many summer vacation spots, for families to enjoy the convenience of an oceanfront cottage, have a perfect summer on the lake, or relax at a mountainside retreat close to outdoor adventures and activities. You may even find rental homes that welcome pets, so you can bring the family dog along! Here are some of the other perks you can enjoy when renting a vacation property:

* More Amenities - Vacation rentals are often stocked with all of the basics that you use in your daily life, including dishware, cookware, barware, bedding, towels, laundry facilities, indoor/outdoor furniture, BBQ grills, games and entertainment systems. Private hot tubs, pools, fireplaces, and other amenities, such as Wi-Fi, are often included as well.

* More Space, Better Value - Often for the same price as a standard 20' x 20' hotel room, you can book a 2,000+ square foot house. When renting a hotel for a family or group, everyone can stay in separate rooms under the same roof as opposed to paying for multiple hotel rooms, and enjoy added privacy.

* Location, Location, Location - Vacation rentals can be found nearly anywhere - beachfront, lakeside, on a mountain or in urban areas.

Carribean Vacation Rentals vs. Hotels

Pros and Cons between Rentals and Hotels

If we try to be objectives, there are pros and cons for both vacations modes. However, i would like to think that rentals provide you better choices for your Carribean Vacation Rentals.

Most vacation travelers may automatically think of checking into a comfortable hotel when are a vacation. Nowadays there is a wide range of flight, lodging and car rental packages to choose from, however many vacation travelers are finding the best vacation deals by choosing vacation rentals and vacation homes as an alternative that offers vacation deals up to 70% off hotel rates. Why not take a look at vacation rental selections you might wish to explore.

Vacation rentals, for example, offer many amenities that majority of hotels do not. Usually owned by regular owners (renting a vacation home means helping a "mom and pop" business instead of a big corporate-owned hotel), vacation rentals tend to give you full kitchens and multiple bedrooms. They're available everywhere you might wish to stay too. You can find condominiums or houses or apartments (with detached homes you get the ultimate in privacy for your vacation) in any part of the world.

Carribean Vacation Rentals: Vacation Homes

Carribean Vacation Rentals: 101

Introduction to fascinating world of Vacation Rentals

To be honest, before I started to write about Carribean Vacation Rentals, I had not seriously considered this alternative to my travel plans. It does not sound bad. Let me explain. For those who, like me, are in the situation to consider this type of vacations, i have made some research about this topic.

The idea of Vacation rentals have been around for years and is gaining popularity among vacationers. It's no wonder, because whether you rent a cottage, condo or home, renting a vacation property provides all the comforts of home along with great value.

If you think that renting a vacation home is reserved for the rich, think again. The price is often comparable - or even less - than a hotel room. That is particularly the case for large families who are left with few options in a hotel. They must either cram a cot into a regular room and share a very crowded bathroom or break the budget by booking two rooms. Plus, families can save additional money when they rent a vacation home by eating some meals in.

The benefits don't end there. Rent a vacation home and everyone has their own bedroom... and often their own bathroom too! Pools are an added plus in many destinations' vacation homes - and they don't come with screaming kids (unless you add your own).

Most vacation homes come fully, and beautifully, furnished. Many include bed linens, towels and fully-equipped kitchens. All you bring is your clothes, personal items and food.

Renting a vacation home has got to be the most relaxing and convenient vacation experiences ever. No traipsing down a hallway for ice, no slamming doors, loud voices or flushing toilets waking you at midnight and no getting up early for a stale continental breakfast. Instead, you can enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee and a bagel by the pool in the morning... in your bathrobe. I bet you've never considered doing THAT at a hotel.

A similar concept to Vacation Rentals is Vacations Ownership. While it is not the same it may be close to your interests. I will be making the appropriate arrangements to get you valueble links to the former topic. In the meantime, I kindly to ask you consider the following link:

Carribean Vacation Rentals: Tips

Basic topics on this Carribean Vacation Rentals

Although this is just a short list of points, these might help you in finding and assuring you the perfect deal:

- Vacation home listings can be found in magazines, newspapers, online and through rental agencies and Realtors.

-One of the best ways to find a vacation rental is to ask friends and neighbors. A recommendation from someone who has stayed in a particular home or used a particular rental agency or Realtor can offer great insight.

- Official area convention and visitor bureau Web sites can be another source of rental listings.

- Know who you're dealing with. Some individual rental owners advertise on rental directory sites, so you will deal directly with the unit's owner. Other rental owners hire a management company to handle rentals and maintenance.

- Get the rental agreement in writing. Make sure it specifies dates, check-in and check-out times, specific deposit and payment requirements and clearly spells out your responsibilities.

- Ask lots of questions. Do I need to provide bedding or towels? How many parking spaces are available for the unit? Are a washer/dryer provided, or will I need to visit a Laundromat? Will I be responsible for any cleaning when leaving the house?

- If you get a "bad feeling" because of a hesitation to answer questions, move on to the next listing.

As most things in life, this list has a lot of common sense. This is specially relevant, if you are new to [Carribean] Vacation Rentals. However, as you can see, this is not rocket science and provides you with a good set of actions to follow.

Carribean Vacation Rentals: Vacation Ownership

The whereabouts of Vacation Ownership

As promised, i did some research and want to write a bit about Vacation Ownership.

It appears that demand for vacation ownership is surging, making it the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. travel and tourism industry. It has reportedly grown in popularity at the rate of nearly 16 percent each year since 1993 until today about two million U.S. households own vacation intervals at over 2,500 resorts. Worldwide, approximately five million households own vacation intervals at nearly 5,000 resorts located in 110 countries.

What is vacation ownership?
Vacation ownership offers consumers opportunities to purchase fully-furnished vacation accommodations sold in a variety of forms - weekly intervals and points-based systems. A one-time purchase price and payment of a yearly maintenance fee buys purchasers their own vacation - either in perpetuity or for a predetermined number of years.

How does vacation ownership work?
In general, each unit of a vacation ownership resort is divided into intervals - either by the week or a points equivalent. Each unit is sold separately. Unit prices vary accordingly to a variety of factors - size of the unit, resort amenities, location, and season. Unit owners share the use of their unit and the common grounds of the property, and monthly maintenance fees go toward maintaining their unit and the common grounds.

Timeshare and vacation club owners enjoy unparalleled flexibility through vacation exchange programs. Owners are often able to travel to other popular and luxurious destinations around the world. Emerging trends in vacation ownership properties extend today to hotels and resorts in major cites, adventure resorts, and gaming resorts.

Why pay now for future vacations?
Consumers lock in the purchase price of accommodations helping to assure future vacations at today's prices. One vacation club projects up to a 70 percent savings on future vacations. Most will pay for themselves in about five years. Current timeshare owners often cite the cost effectiveness of vacation ownership and the flexibility offered as reasons for purchasing.

What are the advantages of vacation ownership?
Vacation ownership provides the space and flexibility to suit the needs of any size family. Unlike a hotel room or rental condo which requires a payment for each use and often escalates in cost every year, vacationers make a one-time purchase to lock in today's price. Therefore, ownership provides substantial savings on the escalating cost of vacation accommodations year after year, for the lifetime of their ownership, while enjoying all the comforts of home in a resort setting.

Amenities of vacation ownership rival those of top-rated resort properties both in on-site facilities and nearby sporting, recreational, and social activities and opportunities. The properties are well-staffed with well-trained hospitality professionals and some even offer concierge services.

How do I become a vacation owner?
Potential vacation owners are solicited in many ways - direct mail, owner referrals, and off-site booths. Some resorts have on-site sales and will try to lure you into a presentation while staying at their resort.

Vacation ownership sales presentations are usually require one and a half hours or more of your time. During this time, the product and exchange system is explained. Details concerning the type of vacation ownership being sold and how it can be used should be clear. If the sales presentation occurs on-site, you will usually be given a tour of the resort and its facilities.

The consumer is under no obligation to purchase after the presentation. If the consumer chooses to purchase, there is normally a period of time - mandated by the state - which new owners may consider their purchase. If you should change your mind during that grace period, you are entitled a full refund reduced by any contract benefits the purchaser has used.
