3 Carrot Souffle Recipes

Ranked #8,399 in Food & Cooking, #152,730 overall

Cafeteria Carrot Souffle

Recently I had the best Carrot Souffle I've ever had at a local New Orleans Piccadilly while out of town. I came home still thinking about that carrot souffle and how buttery and sweet it was. 3 weeks later, here I am still thinking about it so I decided to look up some Carrot Souffle recipes and see how easy or hard it is to make it.

I do cook but I don't bake very often, so whenever I look up a baking recipe, I always look up at least 3 different recipes because in baking there are so many different variations. Of the 3 recipes I compare ingredients, quantity, and baking times to see if they how similar.

I haven't tried any of these recipes yet, so I'm inviting you to cook with me and find out which are the best. I may not cook 3 batches of Souffle, like I did with my oatmeal cookies. (see squidoo.com/oatmealcookie)

I will update each recipe with my review after I've made it and I hope you will do the same by leaving your review in my Guestbook.

I've often thought of making a carrot casserole...but a souffle is even better. I think I will try the brown sugar recipe first...if it doesn't suit me...then go for the Piccadilly. They have good food and I wish I had one near me. Thanks for the recipes.

I've included some tried-and-true recipes and some of my hard-learned tricks for gettin' out of culinary scrapes -- and Lord, honey, have there been a few. Whether it is a real disaster -- the boss and his wife are comin' over and the kitchen is full of smoke (no shame in servin' some takeout) -- or just an everyday bump in the road -- your husband didn't hear the buzzer, and the cake got a little dry in the oven (let some sugar water soak into those layers, and no one will know the difference) -- I've got your answer.

"I have been dreaming of having my own like of cast iron since I started my restaurant. I just adore the way it holds heat like nobody's business, and allows me to slow-cook and simmer everything from soups to stews, to hearty chili and braises. It just get better and better with time."
