Cartier's rugged Roadster chronograph combines elegant lines with bold, energetic styling for a look that's masculine yet refined. The large polished steel case is featured on a polished steel triple link bracelet with brushed center links and a hidden, deployment clasp.
An additional black leather strap, instantly interchangeable using Cartier's patented system, is also included. Luminous black sword hands, luminous markers, and bold black Roman numerals stand out against the ivory dial, which is etched with concentric rings for a sporty driving watch look. A black chronograph seconds hand and three oval subdials display the chronograph functions, which include seconds, minutes to 30, and hours to 12.
The dial also features a magnified date window at the three o'clock hour. A prominent polished steel cabochon crown completes the signature look. Bought this watch at Saks for 5800 approx. and due to platinum status I also get a 6% end of year reward. No tax. This price is awfully close to it, and the watch is great. Does scratch easily like all buffed stainless steel watches.

Had a Rolex Submariner and definitely consider the Cartier Roadster Chrono a trade up. I get tons of compliments on the watch. Amazon's price is excellent (haven't seen a new one lower), altho I purchased from a local jeweler for the customer service aspect ($6200)

I got this watch as a college graduation gift from my parents. It is a really great watch with a very modern design. I like the squarish face and it is not very common unlike Rolex's. It does indeed sratch easily so you have to be careful with that. Other then that it is a great watch that gets noticed. Cartier makes great watches and from my experience this is no exception.
