Cartoon Me

Drawing cartoons is one of my favorite hobbies of all time. I always wanted to be able to draw a cartoon me face from a photo. Drawing a cartoon me avatar is a lot harder than I thought. Even serious artists have difficult trying to cartoonify themselves.

One of the main reasons it is difficult to draw a cartoon me face is that it takes years of practice. I am able to trace and fill in cartoons quite easily, but to draw a cartoon from looking at a photo is much more difficult. It takes a lot of patience and skill to make the cartoon look like the person's photo, without making the caricature look too childish.

I first started drawing cartoons when I was in pre-school. At the time I was not trying to draw cartoon, it just turned out that my drawings looked that way. I would take my box of 64 Crayola crayons and use the little sharpener on the back. I would pick my favorite colors whether they matched or not I did not care. I would attempt to draw a cartoon me face of my friends and they would laugh

As I matured so did my drawings, but I was still unable to draw a cartoon me face that even resembled a person. One of the hardest features to draw is the nose. I would try drawing someone's nose for hours and then after a while it just got so mangled I just would color over it.
