Be Good to your Hair
The unit has a regular steam setting or an ionic steam setting. When switched to "ion" you'll hear a clicking noise and visually see more steam. That click is fairly loud.

I have fine limp hair that refuses to hold a curl. Traditional heated hot rollers created curls that fall limp within an hour even with hairspray.
Then I discovered the Caruso Steam hair-setter. The steam is gentler on my hair and creates long lasting curls with very little fall out, even when I skip hairspray.
Some people claim their curls last for days, mine last me from morning until night, but bedhead all but knocks them out.
The only complaint I have with the curlers is the steam shield can leave a dent in my hair if I'm not careful with how I position it.

How to Use the Rollers
Straight from the box

- My daughter and I have have had about 3 versions of Richard Caruso Molecular Steam Rollers that operate by adding salt since the 1980's. We have had them in different colors red, pink, black, perhaps we had a blue or purple at one time too and we love the product. The one I loved the best was the Pump 'N Steam since it produced the steam as you needed it for each curler instead of having continous steam. There seems to be a good deal of product interest and there are many people still buying all of the products that are out there to be found. I would love to find out someone has began to make the foam part of the roller again. If I could figure out how to do it then I would try making the foam for my own use. As far as I have been able to determin no one is offering only the foam, this is just sad.
