Cascada Trivia

Cascada, pronounced Kazkahda, is a German dance project made up of Natalie Horter (lead singer), DJ Manian aka Manuel Reuter, and Yanou aka Yann Pfeiffer. Cascada hit the Dance music charts in Germany with Miracle (March 2004) and not long after were signed with Robbins Entertainment in the USA.

Their first album 'Everytime We Touch' was released in their homeland Germany in late 2005, followed by the UK and the USA in 2006. They have successfully toured the UK, the USA, and performed at awards ceremonies in France and Spain, and are looking forward to another big year in 2008.

Cascada's second album is scheduled for a December release in the UK, you can watch an interview with Natalie Horler where she talks mentions the new album.

Videos from Cascada's debut album 'Everytime We Touch'

These are the official videos released by Cascada, but if you check out YouTube there are also a bunch of anime and sims videos made with Cascada's music. Great stuff.

Oops my mistake, the last video 'Endless Summer' is actually from Siria, the dance act created by Natalie and Yanou, but apparently it's been remixed for the 2nd Cascada album.

Cascada - Everytime We Touch

My review of their debut album

I love this album, "Everytime We Touch" from Cascada will keep you dancing from beginning to end, and for the boys it's got some good head-banging moments.

Everytime We Touch - This is such an upbeat song, though the first 30 seconds seem quite melodic, "I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me...", then the bass thumps in and you know you're listening to a high energy dance number.

Ready For Love - A classic lovesong about a broken heart and souls being divided, though she's ready for love again.

Can't Stop The Rain - Fake disguises and not belonging are the theme of this song, she can't stop the rain from falling but she can find out where she went wrong and move on.

Wouldn't It Be Good - Natalie has a superb voice, and this dance version of Nik Kershaw's song from the 80's really shows it off nicely. I can only imagine how great her voice would be singing ballads.

How Do You Do - A remake with a faster beat of Roxette's How do you do, the two songs share lyrics and melody but being faster this almost sounds like a different song.

A Never Ending Dream - Hearing this song you can hear Natalie's English roots coming through, her Engish accent is evident from the first verse to the end. A never ending dream also has some interesting little twists as the beat stops and Cascada's Natalie takes over bringing the pace right down for a few seconds before the bass kicks in again.

Bad Boy - Every girl's dream, a bad boy for a weekend lover, but we all know we don't want to marry them. It's a cheeky song that me and my friends always request when we go out to the clubs.

Truly Madly Deeply (Slow Version) - Savage Garden's ballad about true love is just gorgeous sung by a woman, I think it sounds better than their version, and Natalie really knows how to get the most from her voice.

Miracle - boy meets girl but he cheats on her, she feels crushed, but she still loves him, if only he would change, if only a miracle could happen.

Kids In America - This is a dance take on a rock number, and Cascada really make it happen, I'm sure Kim Wilde would have been proud. This is a rock chick anthem done well.

Another You - Another ballady introduction to a great song, it's hard to believe Natalie has such depth in her voice, when she gets into an R&B groove you kinda wish Cascada would produce a soul R&B album.

Love Again - This track takes us back to the upbeat dance beat Cascada are known for, and it's all about summer romance.

One More Night - A love song, that's all, just about a girl and a boy having one more night to make it work for them.

Bonus Tracks
Everytime We Touch (Yanou's Candlelight Mix) - This is the ballad version of Everytime we touch with an orchestral background and it sounds wonderful.

Truly Madly Deeply - This is the trance version of Savage Garden's truly madly deeply and finishes the album with a bang.

Natalie Horler Bio

Natalie Horler, lead singer of Cascada, started her musical career singing vocals for DJ's in Germany, and it was in the studios where she met DJ Manian and Yanou.

Home for Natalie is Bonn in Germany, the city where she was born (23rd Sept 1981) and still calls home. Both of Natalie's parents are British, she is a British citizen, and has two sisters.

Her father is a jazz musician so from an early age she learned to love music, singing is her passion. Dance music is how Natalie has become famous, but she sounds incredible performing slower ballad type songs and has said that Alicia Keyes is one of her favourite artists, Natalie would love to duet with Alicia.

Since breaking into the music charts with 'Miracle' in Germany way back in 2004, Natalie has gone on to become an experienced performer, with successful tours of the USA, and UK under her belt. She has also performed in Sweden, Germany, Spain, France and many more countries.

Natalie usually appears on stage without Yanou or DJ Manian, instead she has two dancers, Falk and Essa, the two hot looking guys who do all the hard work on stage.

Apart from Cascada, Natalie and DJ Manian have also released songs under the name Siria. Their song 'Endless Summer si likely to appear on the second Cascada album.
