Know what that is? It's my first Knol! Many people have mixed feelings about Google's release of Knol saying that it will be like having an unfair advantage in the ranking process. Many people feel that it's like Google competing with the rest of the internet.
However, Google claims that they will have no un fair advantage in the rankings. The above knol is my test. Think it will outrank this squidoo lense? (That's probably an easy assumption to make). But seriously, bum marketers around the world will be jumping for joy and taking up keywords as fast as they can to promote their programs.
Which is why many people are against it. They don't want a lot of spammers coming in. It's like Wikipedia, except you can actually BLOCK people from being allowed to edit your column. (Kinda cool in my opinion).
We'll see what it holds for the future of the internet, but for now, I'm happy!
