Caring for your Cast Iron Teapot
Cast Iron Teapots are sturdy and long-lasting. Your teapot should last a lifetime if cared for correctly.
Rinse, dry and air your Teapot before using for the first time.
Use on a hotplate at low heat, and do not expose to naked flame.
Dry carefully and thoroughly to prevent rust.
Clean thoroughly after each use with water only; do not use dishwashing liquid.
Dry with a cloth while warm
Do not scratch the inside coating.

- This is a great resource on cast iron teapots - especially with the directions on how to care for them. I've never been sure on how to clean anything cast iron and I've been wary of cast iron teapots until today

- I have never used one of these. It was thoughtful that you inclulded care instructions, as I wouldn't have known to just use plain water for cleaning cast iron teapots.
