Casual games are a genre of video games that appeal to a different audience than most PC and console games. They usually have simpler controls and often don't require fast reflexes. Casual games are often associated with soccer-moms and grannies. While it is true that these groups are better represented in the casual game space than in the PC or console markets, it would be better to say that the casual market serves a broader market than to say it targets these niches.
