Hopefully, no one will ever need a carrier for this purpose!
Hard-sided Pet Carriers for Cats
The hard-sided cat carriers are more sturdy to me and would seem to last longer. I personally have the first carrier shown and have been pleased with it. It is also large enough to use as a cat cage when the need arises.

Soft-sided Cat Carriers
Soft-sided cat carriers are, of course, lighter and take up less room for the most part. There is a wide variety to choose from. See more soft-sided carriers in the following section of airline approved carriers.

OK, I personally find these a bit much, but for people who treat their cats as children and take them everywhere, here are some cat strollers that will keep cats safe and comfortable while they are out galavanting with their owners.

- My cats do not like to travel, but a hard sides carrier with a soft towel works well

- I saw a mesh pet stroller in a pet shop and it was a pricey $199.99 and all the sides were zipped up. If a cat was in the stroller and dogs are being walked around the neighborhood, the poor cat would be attacked anyway. My cat is a scaredy cat and just takes her walks in the backyard.

- I have seen people take their dogs to auctions in these strollers, but never thought about using them for cats until I started this lens. Thanks for the thumb's up.

- Sherpa makes great pet carriers. I used to work in a very elegant pet store and these were some of the most popular ones sold. I bought one of those pet strollers for my dog, I don't have a cat) and boy was it popular. He got to go everywhere, and the little kids would all be excited to see him through the mesh. I loved that stroller.
