Marshall the Purposeful 'Putty Tat
Cat ornaments on the Christmas tree serve to remind us of the pets, kittens and cats, who are such a large part of our family and to honor them. A Christmas tree ornament should be a reminder of our lives, loves and things we hold dear.
Our special cat is Marshall, named after the town in Texas. He's a big gray tabby cat that our daughter and grandson brought him home from a shelter when he was a tiny kitten. Marshall loves to have his ears rubbed and the purring vibrations grow stronger and louder if he can persuade someone to give him these caresses. At night, when I'm visiting my daughter and grandson and I go to bed, he settles in beside me and as long as I stroke his ears he remains motionless. If I turn over, so that he is at my back, a paw will slowly lift to my shoulder, then a second paw will join the first. When he has both paws placed on my shoulder he carefully eases himself over so that once again he is snuggled up against me hoping for more ear rubs. He doesn't get in a hurry - Marshall is a very slow moving, purposeful cat now that he is older. He has been, and still is, a faithful friend to a boy who loves him. Marshall has a special cat ornament on the tree to say what a splendid fellow he is and how much he is loved.

- Cute lens Carol! We only selected one matching cat ornament. But I had considered a couple of the others that you picked. Marshall sounds like a cool cat.

- Ah, aren't cats just adorable -- and they make great ornaments too -- I wonder if anyone does customized cat ornaments? You know from a picture of your cat.
