Cat Food for Urinary Tract Problems

Here is some help for choosing a cat food for urinary tract infections.
Your cats diet is important. An unbalanced diet (usually associated with dry food) can lead to obesity, sluggish behavior, and a hostile attitude in your cat. Money spent on your cats diet is money saved at the Vet. Most commercial cat food contains an abundance of low-grade ingredients that your cat can not properly digest.

Is Cat Food for Urinary Tract Infections Enough?

Usually. If your cat has just started experiencing symptoms, then a quick change of diet MAY do the trick unless there is a hereditary or genetic problem with your cat. Here are some definite things to avoid when it comes to giving your cat food:

1. Do not feed your cat grapes, raisins, or raspberries, as these are toxic for them. Their kidneys just can't cope with this stuff. They may like eating these things, but it's time for tough love. For a list of food that's toxic to your cat please check with aspca.org.
2. Tuna is not good for cats. Cat food is good for cats.
3. Know what's in your cat's food. You can save a zillion dollars on vet bills by feeding your cat proper food. Please subscribe to Petsumer Report for more info.
4. A small amount of fruits or veggies is not harmful at all, but significant amounts of it can cause health problems. Just remember if you are going to give your cat fruit to do it only occasionally.

Cat Food for Urinary Tract Health and Prices

You love your cat don't you? Stop feeding him or her the MacDonalds food of the cat world. Cat food for urinary tract infections is just good quality cat food. Spending a little more on your cat's food WILL save you a lot of money on vet costs in the long run. If your vet charges as much as mine then you will save significantly in the short term too.

COST
Standard junk food for your cat will cost you about $0.75 a can
Quality food for your cat can cost more than double that.

Finding a good cat food can be difficult because the standard for listing ingredients is horrible in pet food. Too much filler (carbohydrate and vegetable) is common because it's cheap to make.

If you do two things for the health of your cat, I strongly recommend you join Petsumer Report and get a copy of Veterinary Secrets Revealed.

my 17 year old cat suffers from urinary tract infections. I feed pro plan plus other food with low magnesium. I also have 3 other cats that are free of this infection. Can I feed them the same diet?

Oh heck yes. Unless the pro plan is laden with medicinal ingredients (which is most unlikely). Have a look at the ingredients on the can, the first item should be something real and not by-product or meal - this is what defines a natural urinary tract infection cat food and your other cats will love you for feeding them real cat food.
