Cat Hammill

Who is Cat Hammill? Today I have just received a beautiful bracelet as a Christmas present from a great friend of mine. Until today I have never heard of Cat Hammill's jewellery. It was love at first sight; you can see it in the photo. It's just beautiful.

I was quite curious to find out more about this jewellery designer and I squidooed (is that even a word!?) it. Anyway, you know what I mean. To my surprise, it returned zero lenses. Hence this lens.

Although there is nothing on Squidoo about Cat Hammill's jewellery, there is a lot out there in Cyber Space. Here is the start: Cat Hammill "dreams do come true"

Who is Cat Hammill?

"Cat was born and raised in Melbourne, where a childhood filled with riding horses on her farm and in the countryside were entwined with gorgeous holiday memories. Her background has always been in the fashion industry, working in both sales and brand management for some of Australia's leading brands. The seasonal overseas buying trips, coupled with a stint of living overseas in her twenties have ultimately shaped the bohemian feel of the Cat Hammill jewellery collection."

It is quite interesting what one finds when going from one website to another. Looking for Cat Hammill's jewellery I found this website that I quite enjoyed browsing through itsthenewblack.com.au and of course I found some of Cat's beautiful designs. "its the new black (ITNB) is a chic noir based fashion website, that provides the latest upscale designer collections, stocking many of the latest fashion forward designers in their range. Furthermore, the site offers different ways wear each garment, providing up to date looks inspired by the runway and ideas on how to utilize the latest pieces in different ways."
The photo shows Cat's Black heart set of 3 bracelets at itsthenewblack.com.au
- one bracelet beaded with silver beads and a heart charm,
- one bracelet with black wooden beads & a silver heart charm
- an adjustable black rope band with fine silver beads throughout and a round disc charm

Cat Hammill: A charming tale

"Cat Hammill is very pleased. MW's photographer is besotted with the jewellery designer's pieces and is busy trying them on. Hammill, who does nothing to dissuade this impromptu styling, is as charming and as quirky as the self-titled collection of bracelets, necklaces and bangles that adorn her Elwood studio. ''Here, you have to have these,'' she says, placing a collection of very Boho chic silver charm bracelets around a willing wrist.
''As you can tell, I have always had a passion for jewellery,'' Melbourne-born Hammill says. ........"
