Cat Stevens - Yusuf Islam Same cool Cat!
Try to listen to the music of Cat Stevens and not be just uproariously glad to be alive! I know that I can't. And the message in his music is so positive...
Just amazing stuff.
He is, of course also one of the more prominent people to have converted to Islam and therefore gets a great deal of heat with the current state of affairs in the world today.
Personally I think it's all a bunch of bull.
What I do know is this:
There isn't another artist out there of any religion that can write and perform music that is consistently positive in message, and full of an absolute love of life and all of God's creation than Cat Stevens. On the other hand I could be wrong, and the heavily slanted right-wing media may be right.
Frankly I could care less. IMHO most of the popular musicians of the last 100 years or so couldn't have had their morals, beliefs and/or lifestyles scrutinized without something objectionable being discovered.
So I present this lens in the spirit of Cat's music from my youth.
