Cat Trees and Other Cat Furniture

More and more people are keeping their cats indoors for safety reasons. This page explores the variety of cat trees and other cat furniture that is available to buy online. Because price is important in the present economic climate, I have arranged the page according to price range. It starts with the delux models and goes down to cat trees and scratch posts for under $50. Use the table of contents to navigate to the appropriate section or scroll down to browse. Enjoy this easy online shopping experience. And if you are also looking for ideas on how to make your own cat trees, there are links listed below.

Why buy cat furniture?

facts and tips

Why buy cat furniture? First of all it will save your own furniture from damage. Cats, especially indoor cats, need stimulation to be happy and healthy and part of their nature is to climb. If they don't have their own climbing gym, they will use yours, your furniture, your curtains... whatever is most tempting. Added to that they need to keep their claws trimmed. They grow just like out nails and indoor cats don't wear them down naturally as outdoor cats do just by walking outside. Claws will get sharper and catch on anything if they are not trimmed and for the cat, they are uncomfortable. A good scratch post is essential for indoor cats and most pieces of purpose made cat furniture provide some form of scratching platform. Then, of course, there are all those lovely bits to climb, to perch on for cat observation and preferably somewhere for them to hide.

Cat scratching posts

Cat scratch post

Smaller scratching items for cats

Cats need to scratch to keep their claws trimmed much as we need to trim our nails. You can save your furniture by supplying them with a scratch post. Some cats love them, others don't. If your cat is like mine, he ignores the ,b>scratching posts and boxes, and loves to shred a cardboard box instead.

I haven't ever had a cat tree, but the next cat we get I will absolutely buy one for them. All of the cats I've ever seen that have a cat tree love them and really enjoy them. That's important, especially if you have a cat that is a strictly indoor cat.

Cats sure do love their cat furniture. You have been blessed.

Our cat has all the trees in Limousin to sharpen her nails on, but if I had an indoor cat I'd definitely be getting it something other than my sofa to use!

These cat trees featured here are wonderful. I'm sure cats will enjoy having one of these. Stay blessed! :)

My cat lives inside as he has feline AIDS and can infect others. When I first adopted him, he had lived outside on his own in the woods for 5 years. He shows no interest in going outside ever again!

OC was my dad's cat who was a stray who once he made it inside never left. He prefers sleeping on my sofas, and hardly ever uses any of the things I bought him. Thanks for the thumb's up.
