Cataclysm
Ranked #3,784 in Games, #158,088 overall
After Cataclysm, Azeroth will never be the same...
The corrupted dragon aspect Deathwing has returned to remake the world in fire and destruction. Sundering the continents and disrupting the elements, both the Alliance and the Horde are racing toward the epicenter, but are they too late?
New allies, remade zones and dungeons, flying mounts in Azeroth and more await!
Your Atlases Are Now Useless.
But don't worry, you'll get to make new ones.
For years players have been commenting on the fact that Blizzard hasn't done a heck of a lot with the original game content. Well Blizzard has decided to fire back with a fury of an angry dragon. A really ticked off angry homicidal dragon. Seems the world will be getting an update for good or for worse and it's volcano season.
Cataclysm was just recently announced at Blizzcon 09' and contains a large number of changes as well some new areas, revamped dungeons, new races, and new class combinations. Think of the expansion as a major update and overhaul of the core game with everything they've learned from the past two expansions thrown in. Cataclysm has been slated for a 2010 release.

New Race: Goblins
Any goblin would sell their best friend for a fistful of gold.

The goblins of Kezan have traded with both the Alliance and the Horde since the second great war and have only recently fell out of favor with the Alliance. Seeking more profitable routes with the Horde, the cataclysm has forced many goblins out of their homeland and has subsequently shipwrecked them on the Lost Isles.
Goblins are greedy, resourceful, cunning, and shrewd. Never cross one if you value your life... Or your gold.
New Race: Worgen
A Gilnean wherewolf in Azeroth.

After the third war, the curse of the worgen spread throughout the countryside and especially through Silverpine Forest where it breached the gates of the kingdom of Gilneas. Advancing quickly through the populace, it plunged the nation into a bloody civil war. It would seem that hope has won the day as the people have managed to push the beastly condition back to wrest the last vestiges of their humanity for the moment.
Armed with new hope and a desperation to cure themselves, the worgen have allied themselves with the very Alliance they abandoned all those years ago.
New Race / Class Combinations
Just what the apocalypse ordered.
