Catalonia Spain
Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia - a region in the north east of Spain with a population of around 6 million. It's a region in Spain where you can do almost anything. Let me explain. It's very mountainous and has some great mountains such as the Pyrenees which is shared with France and also the wonderful Montserrat mountain range which has a monastery on top. It's a region that has some of the best beaches in Spain - namely the Costa Brava, and you can enjoy hundreds of beautiful beaches up and down this wonderful coastline.
In winter you can enjoy the wonderful ski resorts Catalonia boasts and an hour and half will get you to Andorra from Barcelona to enjoy the resorts there, too!
Catalonia also offers the tourist some of the best architecture as well. Who hasn't heard of Antoni Gaudi these days with his beautiful Sagrada Familia church in Barcelona's city centre. There is so much to do and see here in Barcelona that I've set up this mini guide so you can get a taste of what Barcelona offers.

Try pa amb tomaquet with some decent Spanish ham called Jamón Ibérico a dry cured Spanish ham which is simply delicious.Basically it's crusty bread rubbed with tomatoes and olive oil. I've been to some restaurants where they toast the bread, rub it with garlic, tomatoes and olive oil - amazing! Try it!
