A debate covering Climate Changes and if they can be stopped.

Most people have an opinion about Climate Change and if the change is normal or the result of the burning of Fossil fuels and the destruction of forests. This is a chance to publish your views and maybe provoke somebody in government to reply or do something. If you do not post, then maybe you just don't care enough about the world you live in and what it will be like for future generations.

    Wake up, everybody! Climate change is not just a theory. (Remember when plate techtonics was a theory and most folks laughed at it? It is real! For instance, it's already putting tremendous pressure on the flora and fauna in New England. Vulnerable creatures can only migrate just so high toward the mountain tops to stay in a hospitable habitat. When they reach the mountain tops, there is no where else to go, so "Goodbye!" Insect-borne diseases which could never survive New Engalnd winters are invading us now!

    Humm, if I were living in a low-lying area along the coast or on an island, I'd be counting everyone one of those multi-mile-wide icebergs as they slide into the sea and measuring those retreating glaciers. If we're not concerned about the loss of polar bear habitat (and we ought to be), we should at least be concerned with our own species. Funny thing is, our welfare is intimately connected to theirs, but I suppose I am "preaching to the choir."
