Caterpillar Work Boots, Men's Steel Toe Safety Shoes Are A Great Investment

Work hard, play hard. Caterpillar work boots do well for both. Safety on the job is covered by the many safety ratings Caterpillar shoes have: steel toe (optional), oil resistant sole, anti-slip sole.

These rugged, long lasting and comfortable work boot do the job for me out in the woods on slippery slopes as I clear forest, cut and split firewood and tear down dilapidated fence.

They have your size!

Caterpillar Indiana FX Work BootMy local retailer does not carry half sizes in these great work boots (unless you have a small foot), let alone offer each size in standard and wide. Black or Brown? Forget it. Local retailers carry what some buyer THOUGHT you would want and could cram or slop your foot into.

Break In Your Work Boots Before An 8 Hour Shift!

You Will Thank Me Later

Protect Your Feet and Your Work Boot Investment with Mink OilHigh quality leather work boots like these caterpillar 8" work boots I use are a heavy duty shoe and require a break in period. See the mink oil video above for the product I coat mine with to preserve them, help make them water proof and soften the leather for comfort.

Wear these new boots for an hour or so the first time, then gradually work your way up to an 8 hour day. Otherwise your feet are likely to be kind of sore.

So be sure to buy a new pair of work boots a while before you ABSOLUTELY have to have them so you can break in the new ones while still having the old ones to finish out the day with.

I often shop eBay to find deals on what I am looking for. Lots of Caterpillar men's and women's shoes on eBay at great prices.

How to Break In Your Caterpillar Work Boots

Break in your work boots without breaking your feet

Heavy duty safety shoes like the Caterpillar work boots I buy and wear start out pretty stiff and can be hard on your feet the first few times you wear them.

Don't plan on wearing them more than a couple of hours the first time right out of the box. Blisters on your feet may well be the result.

I try to break in the work boots slowly so that my feet do not pay the price. Wearing them a couple hours at a time and then switching back to my old worn out boots gives my feet the break they need.

Depending on what kind of work you are doing, plan on wearing your new Caterpillar boots perhaps 2 - 4 hours per day, every other day for a week or two.

Reapplication of mink oil, as shown in the video elsewhere in this lens will also speed the break in and increase the comfort of your new Caterpiller steel toe work boots.
