Catherine Middleton, more commonly known as Kate Middleton and now the Duchess of Cambridge, became the fiancée of Britain's Prince William on 16 November, 2010.
She met the Prince while studying at the University of St. Andrews in 2001, and a relationship soon started thereafter. The couple continued to see each other until a much publicized split occurred in 2007. They were soon reunited the same year, since when Middleton has been seen at many royal events.
Because of this royal connection, Kate Middleton had become the centre of media attention and speculation, with both newspapers and magazines not only following her relationship, but also appreciating her fashion sense and style. - All eyes are upon her this month! Funny thing is I know very little about Kate even though I must have walked past her in the street dozens of times. However, she looks charming and stylish, and is 'real' enough that ordinary people will identify with her. She will have the world at her feet but so many pressures with it... useless to hope that the media will go easy on her so I hope she has the inner strength and the support of Prince William in coping with it all.
