Cats vs Dogs
Which do you prefer? Are you a cat-lover or a dog-lover? I personally prefer cats..dogs bark, whine, smell, and drool all over...and cats just lay around and sleep all day. You don't have to take a cat out to the bathroom, but you do have to scoop their toilet daily. That's a chore I don't care for too much, but I might prefer it to taking a dog out in winter time to do its business.

I love dogs, but people don't understand cats- darn it. My cats love to go on walks; they follow me much like a dog. They cuddle me and yes, they like to play. They just have moods; more like people. I admire cats, I adore dogs. How can you possibly choose??

Dogs lick their dirty butts etc with the tongues that have been licking other dogs dirty butts and bits...THEN they go lick your face....whats good about that?, dogs are dirty full stop. Cats are ALWAYS cleaning themselves and do not lick peoples faces

I think their both great. I guess I would have to say cats are best though. Except for Chuck, my dawg. He's too cool.

Cats hands down. They don't need a lot of attention. You show them where their food is and where their litter box is, and that is it. I will throw little plastic balls and cloth mice around the house and my black male cat will chase it for about an hour before he has had enough. They are clean quiet independent animals. I usually act with indifference around dogs as they usually demand a lot of attention

I say cats.
I am a trucker and I have a cat with, at one time I had three of them in my truck. They are easier to take care of and you don't have to stop and walk them all the time

I love cats because they are very independent. They are always grooming themselves, very self sufficient and can keep you good company without arguing with you. I believe they can read your thoughts too. They keep in shape by exercising a lot and chase the mice and cockroaches away.Feces? they bury them. They even know what vegetables are good for their health. Incredible animals. They were treated like gods by the ancient Egyptians who embalmed them.
I love dogs too they are almost human but very demanding.

I'm a cat person . . . but I love dogs too! A pet is a pet and a pet needs love and care.
When a pet has your love it will give love, and that's when it will be the best pet, no matter what sort of animal it is.

Cat fans... here's how to end every argument with people who say dogs are smarter than cats... "You can't get 8 cats to pull a sled through snow!" Game. Set. Match.

Here's the end to the age-old question: "Which is smarter: cats or dogs?" Simple... cats. Evidence? You can't get 8 cats to pull a sled through snow!

Dogs because cats are very good at ignoring the hell out of you when they are done and dogs don't really do that.

Dogs save lives. Police dogs, War dogs, dogs who help the blind and the deaf. There are dogs who will give their life to protect their human! It's not even an argument!
I'm not saying there are no nice or intelligent cats. In fact cats do have my admiration for being "mouse catchers"! A couple of new cats in the neighborhood eliminated my mouse problem-God Bless the little things. But mice aside, clearly dogs are THE companions of mankind.

So it looks like cats appeal to people who don't mind being ignored for the most part. I was a value-added pet. I go for dogs.

Dogs are the best. They sense your moods, are comical and loving. When my three Shelties play together, they are hilarious. I've just never warmed up to cats even though I had some when I was younger. We'll never have cats due to hubby's allergies.

With three Shelties I can definitely say "dog are not boring" They do their share of sleeping, but when they play together they are hilarious. Dogs can read your mood and sometimes I think they can read your mind. If you're sick, they stay right with you and give you comfort. And my dogs are so very smart. I have just never warmed up to cats. My son now loves cats, because he married a sweetheart that loves cats. But he also loves llamas too. Weird child!

Dogs rule. I grew up with cats, they are nice pets, but dogs beat them hands down. Smarter, easier to train and show you more affection.
