Okay, so your cat doesn't have horns-but you sometimes think
it ought to. Not because it is particularly devilish (though it does
have those moments), but the horns would just be keeping in character
with your cat's boundless energy. Aries are never still, and chances
are good that this has gotten your cat into more than one sticky
situation. By some stroke of luck, they usually escape before anything
goes wrong. That said, they still might leave behind a little
devastation.

Aries know all of the hiding places in and out of the house
and have probably created a few extras to boot. Just because they know
the hiding places doesn't mean that they stay hidden. They tend to
escape from just about everywhere; once waiting things out, they emerge
and get back to their adventuring. With all of this to and fro in the
Aries world, you sometimes wonder whether you actually owned the cat in
the first place.

Just because Aries is always on the move does not mean that he
or she is aloof and indifferent. The same basic attitudes that drive
your cat to maniacally explore the world can drive a desire to sprint
straight to your lap. Don't count on coaxing them into cuddling,
though. They are loving and sociable, but because of their energetic
nature, you usually have to wait for them to come to you.

Aries cats are free spirits. When an Aries wants to be held
and petted, you won't find a nicer feline; if your Aries wants to run
around, you just plain won't find your feline. Why such aberrant
behavior? Ultimately, Aries is a selfish, temperamental cat, but not to
the point of being aggressive. If you turn your cat away when it wants
some cuddle time, forgiveness will not be quick in coming. It is best
to indulge an Aries' desires when they come. This keeps the peace in
the house and ensures greater obedience. After all, with such a wild
kitty, the last thing you need is for it to bounce off even more walls.
It's already broken a few things, possibly including itself.

The supposed nine lives of cats hold especially true for
Aries. More than once, you've probably had those heart-stopping moments
as you've seen your cat dart into traffic or heard the tell-tale hiss
and bristling in the alley next door. By some twist of good fortune,
Aries usually escape unharmed. Since that tends to bolster its ego,
remember that your cat is an individual. It will always want to be
treated as such.

Aries have little tolerance for less intelligent cats. When
first exposed to another animal, Aries tend to do a funny personality
flop. Depending on their mood, they approach the newcomer either in
friendship or antagonism, quickly switching to the other once they have
assessed the new cat. Over time, though, Aries will mellow. They either
ignore the less-worthy cat or else bond closely with one they match.
Traditional matches for Aries are Leo and Sagittarius. After the first
week or so, there should be no concerns about Aries-other pet
interactions. Once things have settled, your Aries will get over itself
and get back into climbing the fridge to get into the cat food. And
no-it still doesn't have horns.
