So your cat really is a lion! Leos are everything that a lion
should be: regal, brave, generous, and loyal. Your Leo loves you, his
domain-whether indoors or outdoors-and his food. Leos are not the kind
of lions that engage in the hunt; rather, they administer the kingdom
while you provide the edibles.

Leos are very open to meeting new people, and always expect
the best of everyone they meet. This is not a naïve approach to new
experiences; Leos are smart enough to keep themselves from being
deceived or endangered. Still, they are broad-minded enough to give
everyone the benefit of the doubt. If a Leo's optimism bears itself

Leos love to play. Their play is not kitten play, where
carefree frolicking reigns king. Leos are the king, and they enjoy
batting at toys and receiving tummy rubs. They are not much for
roughhousing, but they do like to be involved. They feed on attention
almost as much as cat food. When a Leo wants to play, it will come over
to where you are and proceed to walk around your feet, your hands, your
legs, your head, your face, your lap, and anything else that can be
walked around or put to mild irritation in order to get that body part
to engage with it somehow. Scratching a Leo behind the ears does not
lull it into a purring half-sleep, as it might do to other cats.
Rather, giving a Leo a back scratch means that your Leo will expect the
full length of back from one hand, then will want to crawl up around
your neck and rub its tail in your face, then will expect you to do the
tummy with the other hand. If you ignore your Leo, it will try even
harder to get your attention. If you still ignore your cat, it may grow
prickly before stalking off. Leos can sometimes be slow to forgive, but
love and attention in the first place will rule out that issue.

What is funny about all of this openness on the part of your
cat is that underneath its friendly, furry exterior, there still
resides the kingly side of the lion. Leos may be magnanimous rulers,
but they still try to rule. Those who are accepted into a Leo's circle
are subject to its rules, and disobedience is punished with disfavor
