Hard to Find Breeds of Cattle

Over time, as people tried to develop breeds of cattle that had more and better meat, and more and better milk, some breeds of cattle lost favor with farmers and ranchers.

Some breeds have herds that have become so small, that efforts are being made to keep the breeds from becoming extinct. Protecting these breeds from extinction, is important to maintain genetic diversity.
