So Who's Cattyjen?
Hi, my name's Jenny, although known to the Squidoo world as cattyjen. I'm writing this lens to introduce myself and give everyone an idea about what makes me tick.
I live with my fiance in the south of England, and work in a small office just a few miles down the road.
However, now that I've discovered Squidoo, I've realised how much I love to write. I hope to learn and develop as a writer, and ideally would love to do this full time if possible.

First, a bit about me...
I called myself "cattyjen" as I have always had a huge love of animals, and cats in particular. Throughout my life I have always lived alongside them (notice that I don't claim to own them - you can never actually own a cat. If anything they own you!) The most I have lived with at any one time is four. That's quite hectic! This number has now reduced back down to two, my "Boys", Bob and Ziggy. They are brothers who have been with me since they were only eight weeks old. Now twelve, they still have a great life, and still love to play, with me, my partner, and each other.
Psychic-Jen
I'm not religious, although am actually quite pagan in my beliefs. I have spent the last few years researching and practicing developing my psychic abilities, with some degree of sucess. Please check out my lens on psychic development. I shall be updating this periodically as I learn. Top psychic picks
Arty-Jen
I'm also an amateur musician (I play guitar, drums and also sing), and have a great love of music. My fiance plays bass (or drums on occasion), and we have learnt a wide span of covers together. Probably my favourite style would be from the "grunge" era. I'm a huge fan of Nirvana, and Kurt Cobain in particular. Also favourites would be The Beatles and John Lennon. However, we play a variety of music, dating from the fifties to the present day.I love the theatre, films etc, and tend to remember all sorts of useless information about actors and musicians. Some of my entertainment knowledge has already been transferred onto my lenses, although there is still much much more to go!
My top picks for music and acting
Sci-Fi-Jen
I'm an avid sci-fi fan. I love UK TV sci-fi like Dr Who, Torchwood, Red Dwarf, Blakes 7 and the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy to name a few. I also have a couple of lenses on the subject (more to follow). My Sci-Fi Top Picks
Horror-Fan-Jen
I have always loved a good horror story. I grew up on Stephen King (both books and films - the books were always better!). More recently, I've discovered both the series of Saw films and (even better) the Final Destination series. I have already added a lens on the Final Destination movies and I fully intend to write something in-depth about others soon. Keep checking! My Horror Recommendations
An Inspirational Actor
Michael J Fox is an actor whose career I have followed from back as far as the eighties. He is an amazing comic talent, along with his more serious roles. In later years he has shown great courage in his fight against Parkinsons disease, and has become an inspirational figure. He now calls his disease a "gift" as it has taught him a new way to look at life. Check out my lens for further information. I will shortly be writing more about other actors, movies and TV. Great books on and by Michael J Fox
An Inspirational Musician
Kurt Cobain has inspired me in other ways. HIs music, writing and art has meant a lot to me over the years. Although he had a bleaker outlook on life than Michael J Fox (above), I have always found him very easy to identify with. I've always thought that he was a very genuine person, a good man and a very obviously loving father. However, from what I already knew about his life, added to my own research into the circumstances of his death, I do not believe that he committed suicide. For those interested, I have compiled a large proportion of this research into my lens about the subject. Please check this out, as I would love to hear your opinions on this. I recommend checking out this great Nirvana Stuff
Who-Dunnit-Jen
I've always been a big fan of a good murder mystery. I always have fun trying to work out who dunnit before the story ends - and sometimes I even get it right! The ones I love most at the moment are Monk, Law and Order and Jonathon Creek as these are the most intelligently written in my opinion. However, I also enjoy Agatha Christie, which is timeless. Others I follow include Diagnosis Murder and Psych. Who Dunnit Top picks

- Christian Slater - Hollywood's Most Talented Bad Boy!

He has been less visible in recent years, however Christian Slater made a dramatic comeback in 2008 in the television drama "My own worst enemy". - http://www.squidoo.com/My-Own-Worst-Enemy
- My own worst enemy is a complex new TV drama, where the two main characters Henry Spivey and Edward Albright are the same person and played by the same actor.
