The causes for panic attacks are many, ranging from a poor diet to a poor connection with other people.Let's explore these causes and some ways to treat panic attacks because a discussion of the causes isn't enough, you want solutions.
Poor nutritional health with eventually cause mental decline and make you much more prone to panic attacks and also to depression (another topic). In order to steer clear of panic attacks follow these simples rules, cut back or eliminate caffiene, cut back or eliminate alcohol, increase your fruits and vegetable intake, and increase your protein intake.
In modern societies we are not eating enough fresh produce and we are many times eating too much starch and not enough protein. This can cause major imbalances. Remember that neurotransmitters are mainly proteins and that you need produce to maintain a healthy acid/alkaline ratio in your body.
Many people miss these points and suffer the consequences. If you need to supplement with protein powder, do it. It's fast, easy, and affordable. As far as produce goes the more the better, emphasize the vegetables where possible, nearly no one gets enough.

Connecting with others and staying busy is a huge factor in whether or not we will experience panic attacks. We are social animals and the more time we spend alone the worse off we'll be.We need contact and sharing, so make every effort to maintain your family and your friendships. Stay active and busy, because an idle mind is much more prone to dwelling on the negatives in life. When you're active you are distracted from your problems and your brain doesn't get caught in a negative loop, which is the cause for panic attacks.
Ok, wonderful, you realize that you have to make some lifestyle changes in order to stop your panic attacks. But, you also have to go one step further, you need to learn how to unlearn.
In other words because your having panic attacks your brain and your body have learned this behavior. But, you can turn it off, or unlearn it.
It may sound complicated, but you can actually train your brain. You can learn how to move activity from one area of your brain to another, in effect shutting off the panicky feelings, the nausea, the shakes, the dizziness, the brain fog, the fear. Pretty cool, eh?
There are a couple of good programs out there which teach you how to do this or something similiar. I personally recommend Panic Away and The One Move Technique for it's ease of use and effectiveness.
