Productivity Score - Base of choosing a product
Most of affiliate marketers prefer to sell the products from Clickbank as Clickbank pays handsome commission on sale of their products. But before choosing any product from Clickbank, you must know about the Productivity Scores of the product. The Productivity Scores of Clickbank products are shown just below the name and description of the product in the Market Place of Click Bank.
So here is the meaning of the Productivity Scores:- $/Sale: This score reveals the average net dollar amount earned per affiliate, per referred sale. This is the net amount earned per sale i.e. amount after deducting refunds, sales taxes and other charges.
Suppose a program sells for $50% commission, then affiliate should earn about $22 (as Clickbank cuts some amount) per referred sale. Now if the $/Sale of the product is only $10 then there must be a lot of refunds and chargebacks. So it will be better to avoid this product because you would have to refund most of the amount of hardearned commission. - %/Sale: This is Average percentage commission earned per affiliate, per referred sale. This number only varies if the publisher has changed their rate of commission.
If %/Sale for a program offerring a 50% commission shows, 60%, it means the company was offering a heigher commission previously which has been lowered now. - %Refd: This is Fraction of publisher's total sales that are referred by affiliates. This Productivity Score is very important. If it is less than 50%, you must understand that the merchant earns most of its sales by promoting the site on its own. But for newly introduced programs this number doesn't mean much.
- Grav: This shows the number of different affiliates who earned a commission referring the publisher's product. In short we can say that if gravity is heigher the program is running strong.
